CD moms, I noticed that the PUL on my wetbag is separating. It's like the shiny layer is pulling away from the fabric in some places. Is this to be expected? Do I need to replace the wetbag?

I believe it is call "delaminating". Basically, the plastic covering (the stuff that makes it water proof) coming away from the fabric.
Some sites say that a good run through the drier on a high heat setting can "melt" the plastic back down. However, extended drying can cause delamination so its a bit of a catch22.
I try to line dry anything with PUL but then will put in the drier just on occasion.

was it dried in the dryer? It shouldn't but sometimes heat can cause that; as well as using vinegar repeatedly while washing it.

Just found this interesting description of PUL vs TPU. I guess anything with PUL wouldn't actually melt back down but TPU might?

@Thehistoryofus: Interesting. Based on the shine differences in the first picture I think it's PUL, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now
Thanks, ladies! I've only put it in the dryer when I *really* needed a dry bag, but I guess it was enough to damage it. Hopefully it will last us a little longer

I have a Planet Wise bag that I try not to dry and it has held up well for a year.
I also have 2 Grovia bags that have held up great with drying.
