We recently moved and I have to park my car outside. DD has been freaking out in the mornings when I have to put her in her car seat. I think it's because it's so cold (even though we live in California). Does this happen to anyone else? And do you have any suggestions on how to avoid it?

How old is your LO? If infant and using the bucket seat, I used to bring the car seat into the house the night before so that it'll stay warm and put it back in my car the next morning.
Now, I go out 5-10 minutes before we plan on leaving to warm the car up a bit.

When it is cold out, I just warm the car up for like 5 mins before we leave. But on mornings when I forget R doesn't seem bothered by it.

@aliv0001 - she's 22 months and in a convertible seat.
I've thought about starting my car a little early, but it's a prius so I'm not sure it would really warm-up very much. Just thought maybe there was some trick that the cold-weather parents do

Our car is in the garage and its still freezing in the winter months - my kids do say "its cold" but there isn't much you can do! I give them a blanket to use while the car heats up!

I warm up the car for a few minutes and have a blanket available for him (to be under if he's cold, not sitting on).

@BeachMama: I bet it's all about getting used to it. When it's cold here (like below freezing), I warm up the car. But LO hasn't had any problems with spring temps - I assume because she's used to it being much colder.
