@Bao: My 4 yo loves puzzles, and I think is outgrowing the 24 piece puzzles. He does them with confidence now, but that may be repetition. We got him a new one for his birthday in Feb and it still took him a little bit to put together. I'm not sure when we'll move up to the next size. I may talk to his pre-school teacher about it?

@ballerinabee: I would try a few different 24 pc or 35 pc puzzles. My parents had bought her a set of puzzles (12 pc, 24 pc, 35 pc) and once she got bored of them, i bought her a few more puzzles of similar difficulty and only moved her up once she mastered them without needing any help from me.

My kid is 2 months shy of turning 3, and she's huge into puzzles. My toy budget is pretty much going to that entirely LOL Right now she's doing 24 piece puzzles easily and quickly, so we're trying to stretch to larger ones but I'm having a hard time finding bigger ones. Check out the Mudpuppy puzzles - there are boxed ones (25 pcs) that are great, and if anyone knows of good ones for toddlers that are more than 25 pcs, I'd love tips.

My son is really into 3-D puzzles, they're another option I didn't even realize existed until I began poking around.

Ds1 loves them! He got a few 100 piece puzzles (Costco?) for Christmas from relatives and hes pretty good at completing them by himself.

dd (3y4m) loves them. she on the 48 piece ones. she didn't start to get into it until around 3. ds (20mo) still does the wooden ones but hes pretty good.
