My LO has quite a collection of push & ride on toys given to us, and he has never touched one. He has never pushed any of them, and I caught him once or twice sitting on one of the ride on toys, but that's the extent of it.
I would like to pack them up because they take up a lot of wasted space, but is this something he will grow into? He is 18 months. Anyone who had a kid suddenly like them later on?

I'm not sure which toys you have, but it could be a matter of personal preference. We have quite a collection too, and I know there are a couple that my son loves and plays with all the time, and then the others he tends to ignore. Maybe you could borrow a toy from a friend to see how he likes it?
How long as he been walking? Maybe he still isn't feeling steady on his feet. I know when my son first started walking, some of the toys scared him, because they would roll too fast, and he would fall down since he couldn't keep up with them.

I'd get rid of anything that's a push toy only at this point, my son really began using the ride on cars and things at around 2 years.

DS1 didn't start playing with his until he was older. He never actually used them to help him walk. As he got older, he would push them all around outside and eventually run with them. He probably only stopped playing with them when he was around 2.5.

@aprild: he's a pretty steady walker now, he just refused to use anything to assist in learning to walk. It's weird to me because all other babies I know loved to push things around while learning to walk!
@looch: @Mamasig: That was what I was curious about, if he would get into thrm later on. I think I am going to put up the push toys for now and keep out all else. Thanks!

My son didn't get good at ride on toys until closer to 2, so I would wait before getting rid of them.

I put the ybike away for this reason from about 20 months until a month or so after age 2 and now he is totally into it. I'd just put them all away for a little awhile and then reintroduce. Like toy cycling!

Maybe pack them up and leave out one or two? They'll take up less space and maybe having too much variety was a deterrent?

We didn't start sitting or pushing items until almost 2 years old. He really only likes the push lawn mower he plays with in the back yard and then the sit on Dusty the airplane. That lasted for about 6 months. He now plays with hot wheels, train sets etc. I've put our stuff in storage because we have LO#2 coming soon and he will use all those items. Then off to the garage sale
