Since we sleep trained Elliot at 5.5 months he's been going to sleep by himself as soon as we put him down for bed after his bedtime routine. We nap trained at 7.5 months and he's been going down really easy since then as well.

Well, he's 8 months old now and I think that separation anxiety has struck. For the past week he screams bloody murder as soon as we put him down for both bedtime and naps. He's basically CIO every time that we put him down to sleep and it's not getting better. As soon as one of us goes in there he calms down. Last night DH stood by his bed with his hand on his back and E went to sleep with him in there.

What should I do?? It's torture making him CIO every single time (it's taken less than half an hour for naps but it feels like forever) but I don't want him to start a bad habit up again. Help!
