I'm ordering our Christmas stockings from Pottery Barn and can't decide whether to put "Mommy" or my name on it.
What do yours say?
ETA: If you'll be getting new stockings post-kid, will you keep your name or get new ones that say mom/dad? These are our forever stockings, so I'm getting really stressed out :T

@pinkcupcake: I think we'll keep them like that! My parents have their first names on their stockings so thats just how I always assumed ours would be too!

I TOTALLY THINK YOU SHOULD PUT MOMMY/DADDY!
Growing up, we always referred to the stockings as "mom's stocking" or "dad's stocking." I feel like it would have been totally weird to me as a little kid if it had my mom and dad's first names! Because they were mom and dad to us!

THANKS SO MUCH, EVERYONE! I think I'm gonna go with my name. @Rainbow Sprinkles: Yeah, we always referred to my mom and dad's as "Mom's and dad's" which is why I was wondering, but I think it'll be nice to have my own name on it Hopefully I won't regret it tomorrow! Haha.

Ours have our initials (just pins I got on clearance from Target eons ago).

Our first names. We debated this, but ultimately I decided that I wanted to be more than just "Mommy." Also, when my kid is 16, it would be weird if my stocking said Mommy.
I make our stockings (I am woefully behind on DD's), and decided everyone gets their real, full name - even grandparents.

Well...I wanted mom and dad but my mom ordered them and got our first names. Oh well.

@pinkcupcake: sorry for the late reply, but these are our forever stockings. I made the ones for DH and myself before a LO was on the horizon, but either way I don't mind having first names. LO will know that we have "real" names in addition to being mom and dad, so I don't think it will scar him or her for life!
ETA: I thought about doing initials, but it still kind of bugs DH that I kept my last name instead of taking his and I didn't want to sort of rub it in all holiday season. And the stockings would have looked funny with just our first initials...so, names it was.

Ours don't have anything. I really want to put our first initial (capital letters for DH and me, lowercase for j and any future kids) but I haven't gotten there!
