Nooooo.....!!!!! I would never watch a scary movie at home by myself. Each and every little sound would freak me out!!!

Not a chance, but I don't like scary movies and wouldn't watch one even if DH was here...and definitely not without him. My imagination is WAY too active! (Seriously, I still can't look in the mirror of a dark bathroom because Bloody Mary).

I love these movies. I don't know why but they are the only scary movies I genuinely enjoy. But I can't watch them by myself!
But I really want to see it again...I haven't seen it in a while!

Huge, HUGE, VERY BAD IDEA!!!! But I don't like scary movies. AT ALL. I even go through stages where I get freaked out watching crime shows on nights after the kids are in bed and DH isn't home yet. What IS is with you people that like to scare yourselves half to death over a movie??? I guess there is something to the term 'delicious fear'...

No way. But I'm a scary movie weenie. I hate watching them. My dog would be sleeping in bed with me and the bedroom door would be closed tight!

I gave up. I got to the part where the lady got dragged down the hallway and said nope.
Still really jumpy though!!

Warning...please don't read if you get scared easily!
That would be a bad idea for me. I get scared so easily now and do believe that lingering spirits or souls exist. When I was in college, my parents' neighbor down the street passed away from lung cancer. We always called the old man that passed away "Grandpa Bill" even though he was not related to us. We weren't invited to the funeral because it was for family only so we brought flowers to the house and gave his a wife a giftcard to help with groceries.
That evening, Grandpa Bill woke me up gently from a deep sleep, I literally felt a tap on my shoulder, but was still very sleepy. I was not dreaming. His presence felt very real!!! I wasn't even scared at that moment, just VERY sleepy and tired. I called out to him "Grandpa Bill, is that you?" He immediately comforts me and tells me "Kimberly, don't be scared, it's me, Grandpa Bill. I am in a better place now. Please tell your family thank you for the flowers." So I asked him in my sleepy state "Oh wow, so you know about the flowers?" and he continues "Yes, dear I know everything that's going on, just tell my wife that I am in a better place and to take care of herself." Then he vanished.
I was not scared at that moment and was able to fall back asleep. But in the morning once I was fully awake, I was scared as hell! I quickly relayed his message to his wife because I didn't want him to come back and talk to me again. Even though it was a friendly encounter, it's still spooky and I have not been as daring about scary movies ever since!

@Kimberlybee: oh. My. God.
My office where I work is converted from an old house. The whole property I work for/on is super historical and was the location of a massacre back in the 1700s. It's haunted like crazy
One day at work I heard footsteps coming up the basement stairs when I was working alone. Then I heard a huge BANG from the back room and then the sound of papers falling. I called a coworker to come sit with me while I closed because I wasn't staying any longer. He looked around and what I though was papers was an old crinkly file folder that had fallen from the shelf that was full of name tags. One name tag had fallen out. A woman who used to work there but died 2 months prior to this incident. I never work alone at the office anymore.

It's 1:30 in the afternoon here ... bright outside, and I just read this thread, and I am SCARED!
These kinds of stories/things scare the crap out of me. I guess I'll just be enjoying my 105 year old house (alone) the rest of the day. Ughhhh! Haha.

Bad idea. I can barely watch "The Witches" with DH in the room and not be freaked out. Yes, it's a kids movie, but it still scares me to this day. Stupid Hub network has been showing it too much lately.
