Any other moms out there that had pain in their tailbone after having their baby? I know it sounds crazy, but from the research I've been doing, it says that it is caused from the baby moving into the birth canal. Anyone else with this problem? Did anything help?

Yes! I have been going to a chiropractor for adjustments and a massage and its been feeling way better...been about 3 weeks now. She said all pain associate with pregnancy, labor and the epidural will be gone 6m PP.

I have a friend who broke her tailbone delivering her little guy :S

I either severely bruised or cracked mine during delivery. I still have pain on and off at 9 months pp, but it's gone for the most part.

I still have to go to the chiropractor for sciatica treatment. I hope yours goes away!

Yep! My tailbone was previously injured though so not sure what's new pain. I ice it at night and typically sit at an angle or on my feet at all times. I've also avoided driving when I can since that position puts the most pressure on it. Hoping it gets more tolerable soon, hope you find relief as well!

My tailbone hurt for awhile, but I assumed it was from sitting on my butt so much while nursing all day! I think mine went away within 2 months.

See a chiropractor! Mine said it's very common for the bones to get all messed up and need to be put back in place.

@TurtleDoves: Thanks, I will have to head back to the chiropractor. Do you feel relief when you go get an adjustment?
I actually ended up with a c-section (never pushed) but I guess it was when she was in the birth canal

Yep! Need to go see a chiro asap... so out of place. I can feel it when I'm doing floor excercises during wirkouts...

Like @zippylef: said, it's bruised. So, @BlessedMama: , even though you didn't push, the baby being there and through the canal (&sitting on your nerves for 9months) has caused major tenderness. I loved & recommend the adjustment. The massage can be done at home if DH is willing:) or if you have time (ha!) you can take a hot bath with Epsom salts?

Mine was either bruised or broken during labor (didn't bother getting an X-ray to confirm it, since there's not much they can do)-- I'm almost 6 months PP and it still bothers me every now and then, but not as bad as it used to be. I'd say I'm 90% recovered... the first 3 months were TORTURE!
