DS is turning 1 year old next month and we want to get him a climb and slide type of play set for the backyard. I'd like something under $200. Does anyone have one they love? Any particular brands I should look for? I'm not averse to putting it together myself

We got this one in the fall and have had it inside to give LO a safe place to climb and get his energy out during winter. We will put it outside when the weather finally stays warm here! We are happy with it and I wanted to spend less than $100.

She's being overprotective, right? It says 18 months and up but he'll be supervised obviously! He could hurt himself worse climbing on my coffee table

We have the Step 2 Panda climber, our little is 27 months and still has a lot of fun with it. She goes down backward and head first now:) We were going to get her something bigger this summer, but given her recent tricks, think the Panda climber is just right for a while more.

@macintosh: we have that one! It has been a hit so far! I am not sure where your mom is worried about falling from--anything that you climb could lead to a fall.
