We have a 5 year old printer that we got free with our computer and it doesn't really print colors that well. I'd love to get a printer that prints pictures and bright colors for regular prints as well.

Haven't found one I love but do NOT but an Epson xp-800. Ever.

Honestly we buy the cheapest colour printer we can find and then replace the whole thing when the ink runs out lol. It saves a lot of money.
We don't really print much at home that requires nice colours though.

I've had two Canon PIXMA printers and both have been great at both pics and color printing! I printed almost 200 wedding invitations on the first one. Envelopes included too! I think it was one of the photo all-in-one inkjet printers. Epson sucks. I would never buy another one ever again. I had two back to back and it just didn't perform. The Canon ones haven't failed me yet!

I actually love my Epson printer. Maybe the higher models have better results? I print photos often using photo paper and get great results. The downside is that you have to replace the ink when you run out. It won't let you print in black ink if you run out of magenta. I also have an Epson scanner for film, and it gets great results.
