@LulaBee: I'm not a Subaru owner yet but I did have my husband put LOs rear-facing Chicco NextFit in at the test drive to make sure I liked the space (that seat installs super easy so it wasn't a big deal). It was behind the passenger seat and I had plenty of room (5'7"), when I drove DH (6'2") had enough room but would've preferred a little more. We didn't think to try it behind the driver in case that would've made a difference for when a LO2 would come, interested to see the responses to this!

@littleredhairedgrl: i don't have any LOs yet but this is interesting because we just got a Rogue at the beginning of the year and I was going to recommend it! now i'm worried it'll be too small for us. i LOVE how it's an SUV and makes me feel super safe but it's easy to handle because of the size, especially coming from a tiny car (we had an aveo and a civic before). maybe we'll need something bigger once babies arrive!

@loki: yeah I thought it would work perfectly but I think the trunk is a bit small and if our UBV is in the trunk there isn't room for anything else. I also really didn't like how (during this winter's polar vortex) I'd put on the 4WD and after about 10'minutes of driving it would turn off on it's own. but maybe with a more compact stroller it would work well.

We used to have an Acura RDX AWD and it was great, but it only seated 5 (4 if you had 2 car seats in it). We ended up getting a Ford Flex and we love it. Ours is not AWD, but the sucker is so heavy I imagine we won't have any trouble in the snow. There is a ton of room in the back (if you put the 3rd row down). We put 2 small suitcases, 2 big suitcases, a cooler and an 80 pound dog in the back on a recent trip. Obviously, with the 3rd row up you can fit in much less, but it is still roomy.
