I want to rent a movie for DH and I to have a little date night in tonight, but have no idea what to rent! I'm really not up with what's supposed to be good. Anyone have any recommendations for us?

Hmm I think Captain Phillips is available to rent now. Also Prisoners is good, but sort of messed up (torture, missing kids). The Butler, Blue Jasmine and Enough Said are supposed to be good but I haven't seen any of them yet. We recently rented The Way Way Back and it was really good.

Have you seen World War Z? It was good, but intense! Or Despicable Me 2 (for silly). I haven't seen any romantic movies in a long time!

We like stupid comedies, the Heat was funny, Hangvoer 3 was awful! Captian Phillips is on our list for this weekend!

@MsLipGloss: World War Z turned out to be SO much better than I thought! I thought it was another zombie movie but it was so intense & different. +1!
I'm waiting for Thor 2 to become available... Maybe it already is.

Do not pick Don Jon. It is absolutely nothing like the preview suggests. DH and I rented it for date night and while It could be funny, overall there was nothing date like about it

but it's kind of a kids movie.

@MsLipGloss: @snowjewelz: So bumping an old thread, but we just watched World War Z and I thought it was really good. I don't like scary movies but that wasn't scary (like horror movie scary). It all mostly made sense, too.

The best movie I've seen recently is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Such a great movie!
but it's kind of a kids movie.
