It's a little on the pricey side, but pretty much everyone I know loves the Nars pencil in the Dragon Girl color! @KT326: I love NARS reds! I just feel that their shades are so rich and it goes on so smoothly.

I have pale, olive skin and I love red lipstick!

For drugstore/less expensive, Id recommend L'Oreal Colour RicheTrue Red or British Red. Or NYX round lipstick in Chaos or Electra.

For higher end, MAC makes Ruby Woo and Russian Red. Ruby Woo is a matte color, whereas Russian Red is a more traditional satin. Urban Decay Revolution in F-Bomb or also OCC Lip Tar in NSFW.

@KT326: Sephora is the best! Oh and the other good thing about the pencils (of all brands) is that I find them easier to apply than the traditionally shaped lipsticks because the point is smaller. I have to work hard to not look like a clown with regular lipstick because I'm apparently makeup application impaired lol.

Finally, my favorite cream lipstick is this one by Bite Beauty (also at Sephora--my one-stop beauty shop!); I can't remember the name of the red I have in this one but they have rich gorgeous colors and you can play with them on your hand in the store to get a sense of the tone that works best for your skin color. I love the formula of this lipstick as it is so hydrating it makes my lips feel wonderful, almost like a lip treatment. Can you tell I'm a makeup junkie?

I have very olive skin so I need to stay away from any reds that have a blue or cool undertone.

I love Dubonet by MAC. It is a darker red (not a bright, fire truck red like Russian Red) and really compliments my skin. It still looks red on your lips, but almost seems like a brown red in the tube.

I buy it year after year after year!!!
