Through our library's storytime/sing-a-long time, I discovered the artist Raffi. I like how he sings nursery rhymes and songs for really little kids and plays them simply with a guitar or banjo and minimal instruments. I also found Elizabeth Mitchell through Spotify and really like her rendition of "This Land is Your Land" and other songs like that.
Can you recommend any other acoustic-y artists for kids music?

The two you mentioned are two of my favorites too!
My son loves an artist named 123Andres - I think he's local to the DC area, but his music is on iTunes. He's amazing, he plays a bunch of instruments, and sings in Spanish and English, and I actually enjoy listening to him.

I haven't heard much but I know Charlottle Diamond is popular. There's also a series called "Jazz for Babies" or something that is very relaxing music for small babies.

Also my friend heard about Walter Martin's "we're all young together" album on npr and I love it; there's a video for one of the songs here:

Oh my goodness, everyone. These are such amazing suggestions!! I now have over two hours worth of music on my Spotify playlist, and they are all fun, beautiful songs that I don't mind listening to! My favorites are Charlie Hope and Lisa Loeb! We are definitely ready for our road trip this weekend!
