we are flying long haul with LO in a little over a week. all of his favourite toys right now are of the very noisy variety.
I would be endlessly grateful for suggestions of what toys are quiet, and kept your LO entertained!

She likes things that aren't toys...they seem to keep her entertained the longest.

@Bao: ha,ha, just like A. She is OBSESSED with labels... The actual toy isn't the exciting part but its label? Woah!
@Penny Lane: thanks for asking this - I'm taking A on 2 7-hour flights next week and wondering whether to stock up. Someone told me to tie string to toys too so if they fall on the floor they're easy to find!

@travelgirl1: yikes, at first glance I thought you said a 27 hour flight. I just about died!
@Bao: I've noticed that too. his fave for a while was a torch. I'll have to find where I put it!

@Penny Lane: Good god, no!!! Ha ha! But DH won't be coming so I think it will feel like a 27-hour, ha ha.

@travelgirl1: yikes! our trip is three flights - 1 hour, 11 hours, 2.5 hours. there is no way I would do that without DH! you're a super mama

LO really likes ribbons, stickers (not really age appropriate but fun), tearing paper, books, transferring objects from one container to another...

For flying around nap or bedtime, make sure to have their lovey readily accessible to signal sleep time. It helped us a lot on our return flight.

we mostly ate a lot of snacks.... LOTS of snacks....! cut up grapes, cheerios, yoghurt melts, etc!
he liked reading his favourite book with me, inspecting the pamphlets in the seat pocket, and two small plastic toys i brought that didn't make noise (2 mega blocks, and a spinning toy). the biggest hits though were older kids in the seats behind us. they loved making faces at him and he loved watching them
LO was 11 months.

Subscribing ... We're going on a cross country flight in July when Dd will be almost 7 months ... She was playing with her Sophie today and as she was loving on it I realized it may not be the best toy to bring on a plane
