My cousin sent me this article/post and I just had to pass it on because it was a great little read.

The writer definitely hit on some same sentiments of mine that were spot on. Somewhere along the way, I think as humans and as mothers we have lost our instinct to raise and bear children ofter relying on the advice of "experts" and neglecting what our gut is telling us to do. You're almost made to feel like a barbarian if you went decidedly against what is now conventional but has been practiced for centuries.
Babies now are exactly the same as babies were from the beginning of time. It's parenting and the world around them that has changed and we are always looking for ways to have the baby "adjust" or trained to better align with the life we have created for ourselves.
I think this is what my mom is referring to when she says we have overcomplicated the process and that's why she sees that we have so much more to contend with in our age of baby making and raising children.
What's your thought?
