Didn't know what board to put this under!
I'm debating whether we want to set up a video camera or have our doula record LO's birth. There will definitely be pictures taken but I recently started thinking about recording bits and pieces.
If you didn't do it, do you regret it?

My mom recorded mine, I don't know if she ever looked at it again. It's like wedding pictures, IMO..if you often look at that or watch your wedding video, I say have it recorded!

No I didn't except a couple short shots of the hospital part of labor... Don't regret it either!

My hospital (or OB practice...not sure which one) didn't allow video cameras during the delivery. I was fine with that because I didn't want anything related to the delivery to be videotaped.

I didn't do it and I don't regret it at all. I love LO.... but childbirth wasn't fun for me and I don't want to remember it. We turned on the camera after she was out.

LO is still in utero, but I don't plan on having the birth recorded. I am having a photographer come in and take pictures of everything, but nothing down south. I just want her to take pictures of emotions at a particular moment. Something similar to this.

We didn't record it and I don't regret it at all. I found the whole process to be painful and I don't really want to see what it looked (or sounded) like to other people.

no record and i don't regret! would've loved to take more photos RIGHT when he was born, though! 
i lost most of them off my now dead iphone :*(

I don't want a video camera or a regular camera anywhere near me when I'm giving birth! I've seen a live birth before and have no interest of ever seeing one again, even if it's my own son!

I'm glad none of that mess was on video. My doula did record what happened in writing, which was nice.

Nope and don't regret it. Keep that memory in my head not on film! I do have photos though.

I had a birth photographer taking photos, and my Mom with a video camera. I'm really glad I did. The photos are beautiful, and the video (even though it's not something I would share with anyone) was so helpful to me when trying to emotionally process Vi's birth.

Taking some videos POST-birth were just fine with me. I love watching them. Their cries are so different when they're newborns and they change so quickly.

We didn't do it, and I have no regrets and zero interest in reliving those hours. I'm perfectly content in the couple photos of us holding him.
The photos of my husband's reaction to holding him were great, he was so filled with joy. I was too tired to be sentimental and was pretty much shell shocked. The photos I treasure were actually taken the next day by my brother, just photos of C by himself.

My hospital doesn't allow it, but I wish I had a video. They didn't have the mirror positioned where I could see so I didn't get to watch him being born and at the time I didn't really care. But now the moment is so fuzzy, I wish I had a video to look back on.

To be honest I have a hard time even looking at other people's video/photos! I didn't have any documentation of the labor and would not have wanted it. We took photos after he was born but that's it.

I didn't do it, but I wasn't at all interested in doing it. I don't regret it!
