- oatmeal
- meat
- almost any veggie
- beans
- her bottle if not offered in a completely silent and still environment
Things my 9mo DOES want to eat:
- my phone
- the strings of my sweatshirt
- the cats' tails
- the dog's ears
- dog hair
- paper
- any tidbit she finds on the floor (lint, fuzz, stray tiny piece of foil, etc)
Sometimes I feel like I'm raising a tiny goat.... lol What are your babies nomming on lately?

DS1 - nothing lately. Well, except cheese. He loved cheese. He's getting so picky!
DS2 - he decided he's over baby food and just wants what we eat. Even though he has no teeth yet, he's doing pretty well.

lol! yes, she is like a little goat 
especially with dog hair, omg so gross. she's pretty good with most food though too, especially if she sees someone else eating! I can;t eat in front of her anymore unless I'm willing to share, which is then tough because at 11 months she still doesn't have teeth (she has one cutting that hasn't moved in over a week. come on teeth, hurry up!!)

This weekend, she refused everything except for bananas. Also, she would only eat four pieces. She started whining when I cut the fifth piece.

Haha, yes! We are right there with you! I never realized how much random lint/fuzz/dog hair was on my floor until they started trying to constantly eat things. Also, I don't know if Fia has this same issue, but when I'm feeding them actual food it can take five minutes for them to get something off the tray, into their hand, toward their mouth, and then who knows how long until they actually swallow it. Piece of paper on the floor? They've torn it in half, pincer grasped that shit straight into the mouth, and swallowed while I'm still trying to figure out which baby mouth I've got to pry open and fish the paper out first. I mean, this stuff is good for their constitution, right?

@twodoghouse: that's funny! I worked with a lady once who told me kids need to eat dirt! She had a nephew who was constantly sick, and her theory was it was because they never let him get a little dirty.
Yesterday at church, my son dropped half of his banana. He was about to pitch a fit so I let him eat that piece that fell on the floor. The family behind me laughed. Hey, at least they are holy germs! LOL

LO prefers his food with a layer of dog hair. He's such a goof. He will drop his food on the floor, then devour it. But served on a clean plate, dog hair free? Just doesn't cut it for him.

@Mae: Haha this made me laugh. My LO particularly enjoys my hair, pulled as hard as possible and jammed into his mouth while twisting my head at an angle that makes it impossible to remove my hair from his tiny death grip.

@twodoghouse: lol depends what is on her tray. puffs and melts she is pretty quick with because she really likes them and they have a dry/easy to grasp texture. Cut up fruit always takes longer because it is slippery. But yea... it just isn't a battle we're ever going to fully win haha. I do my best to keep things vacuumed and grab things out of her fingers when she is trying to eat them but I figure that a certain amount of inevitable pet hair ingested is warding off allergies.. right? RIGHT? lol
@psw27: omg the hair pulling lol. LO doesn't try to eat my hair mud (yet?) but she loooves pulling on it and omg the death grip. How are they so strong??
