We're registered at Amazon and BRU. Does anybody know when you get the registry completion discount codes for those registries?
I'm having my shower December 16th and am due Feb 3rd so I'd rather have the discount code sooner than later, but both sites ask for "estimated arrival date" or "due date" rather than an event date, so I'm assuming they base the delivery of the discount code on your due date?

Amazon you can use the discount for 60 days after the first due date you enter (can't change it to get the discount sooner). It's a one time purchase too I think.
ETA: oops, sorry, guess I only looked at using mine after my edd!

I believe Amazon is 30 days before the due date you put in; not sure about BRU.

BRU told me they send you the coupon two weeks prior to your due date.
Because of that, I originally put the date earlier than my due date just so I could get the coupon earlier, but it really confused people looking at my registry, so I put it back to my actual due date. Hoping baby isn't early so I have time to use it!

yeah, amazon is 30 days before the date you put in as EDD. i don't know about BRU, but BBB is 10% off and one time use and I received mine last week, so maybe 60 days from the EDD?

@ladyfingers: Yeah, I agree! I'm thinking maybe after my shower, I might try changing the date and see if I can get it sooner. But I'm not sure what that would do to their system, haha.

@Adira: I changed the date, I'll let you know if I get anything soon! I figure it can't confuse people too much since they know what date the shower's on, they can't possibly assume I'm due on that day...

I originally had my due date of 12/21 on my Amazon registry, but after my shower on 10/21 it let me change it to the shower date and the 10% discount automatically popped up on my registry page. I did the same thing with BRU and even though you are supposed to get the coupon 14 days prior, I received it in the mail about 2 weeks after my shower date. That probably happened because I changed it at the last minute but either way I got it within a good amount of time. My advice: keep it at your due date for now and then right after your shower change it to that day's date.

I was wondering this too! I registered at Target and Amazon and now I'm kinda pissed that I didn't fudge my due date a little. I didn't even think about it until after my shower...
