i just realized there's a 'your sleep' board!
i can't seem to sleep anymore, i'm anxious in the evenings and by the time i get in bed, i have too much nervous energy. then, when i'm about to fall asleep, it's almost like one of those falling dreams, where you startle yourself awake in a panic, only there's no dream, it's just the act of almost falling asleep that brings it on, and the panic lingers after. there's not a specific fear i have, my subconscious just doesn't seem to want me to fall asleep. tonight, we may switch sides of the bed, so SO is closer to the door, i think that might make me feel better.
how do you relax in the evenings to help you sleep? (not interested in ambien, we have some but that stuff scares me! i have been taking benadryl & valerian root)
