I used to love these things! Although I think they're more like late 80's.
Another long forgotten favorite 90's toy was Lady Lovely Locks.
What other toys did you love in the 90's?

@Shutterbug: I was about to say I was too old for toys in the 90s but just scrolled onto the dolls and realised with horror that I DID have one and was just frantically working out how I had a doll in my teenage years, ha. Thankfully Wilipedia says they were produced in the 80s! Thank god!

@coacheswife123: um, loved ALL of these. I was obsessed with that weird velcro pregnant dog thing. But now I'm wondering... why did that exist? Strange.
@dagret: I could never skip it. Too chubby. How sad. haha

@coacheswife123: haha we had all the same toys. I just spent far too long looking for this my little pony I had that was my favorite (side note - there are some creepy corners of the internet dedicated to MLP). It was this one, it came with a little girl doll too http://www.ponylandpress.com/us/sundancetaf.shtml
@travelgirl1: haha yeah, I say "90s" but I was born in 83, so most of my toys are really from like, late 80s/early 90s.
GOLD / grapefruit / 4007 posts
@photojane: seriously so weird looking back now ?? I had one though !
@Shutterbug: MLP was the best. I also had this really awesome MLP VHS movie that I watched a billion times. I'm scared to think of what weirdness is online - I can only imagine

I think these were late 90s. Was anyone obsessed with Ty beanie babies ??? I had a zillion. All with tag protectors. The Princess Di bear was the crown jewel of my collection and I just knew they were going to be worth so much one day. Hahahaha still waitin to cash in on that

@coacheswife123: I still have a giant tote of Beanie Babies. I don't know what to do with them now. Seems like a waste to throw them away but I don't know where to donate them...would kids want to play with them?
My favorite doll was a Magic Nursery Baby. It came with a dress or something you put in water and it would dissolve and tell you if it was a boy or girl and would give you a new outfit...very magical for a little kid! I found a funny blog post about them: http://childrenofthenineties.blogspot.com/2009/06/magic-nursery-dolls.html
I also loved Quints dolls and those fashion designer things where you put the plates together and then rubbed a crayon over it.

@JamieLee: I still have mine too! Oh I always wanted fashion plates but never got them. Anyone have one of these cupcake dolls ?

@coacheswife123: I used to love Gak! Then the same company came up with another product that was similar to Gak but made with foamy balls in it. I think it was called Floam ???

My sister got a popple for her 3rd birthday. I was 5 and she wouldn't let me touch it! I resent that to this day. I can remember it was yellow...

Did anyone have the game Mall Madness? I thought it was the coolest.

Oh my god my popples was my favourite Christmas present ever! So much nostalgia on the boards tonight. I love it! I had a pound puppy too that I loved and my little ponies.
I think those "pregnant" puppies were called puppy surprise.

@coacheswife123: I'm pretty sure I did. I think they smelled like whatever they were supposed to be.
@Mrs. Yoyo: I LOVED Mall Madness. In fact, I bought it when I was in college. We used to play it all the time. Then I gave it to my niece a few years ago. I also loved Dream Phone, Ask Zandar, and Party Mania, which had a VHS tape and was the coolest thing ever.

I had a popples pillow case that with a floppy popple head sticking out that played music. I'd totally forgotten that...

@coacheswife123: urgh, I think I have 400+ beanie babies and around 50 beanie buddies (the big ones). Maybe we'll give them away at all of LOs birthdays until she's like 12.. Haha.

I got a Sega Pico one year for Christmas and thought it was the best present ever! My family made a scavenger hunt for me to find it. I loved it!

@coacheswife123: omg, we loved all the same toys!! Ditto on beanie babies with tag protectors. I had princess di in a case too to keep her extra safe! I would love even the $7(ish) back per beanie baby, let alone their high dollar amounts! Could've paid for college or something!
How about Littlest Pet Shop? Anyone have those? Another one of my obsessions!
pomegranate / 3244 posts
@dagret: yess....this was by far my favorite! Mine was blue (I think?) and my next door neighbor had the pink one and sometimes we'd exchange....so awesome!!

What about the old style Polly Pockets? The ones that were like little compacts, not the giant ones that wouldn't fit in a pocket these days.

I was just trying to explain to DH that he needed to fold the highchair cover in like a popple and he looked at me like I an alien.

I had a popple, and a lady lovely locks, but my real love was reserved for the Magic Nursery Dolls. Sometimes you would get lucky and get a "twin" and you'd be able to get a free doll! I remember my first doll ended up being a boy (named Andrew) and my mom felt so bad that I didn't get a girl we went right to the store and I got to pick out another one. This one was a girl who I named Kimberly.

@coacheswife123: those cupcake dolls were my favorite!
