Do you hold on to something that has no use for you anymore but you keep it because it reminds you of your ‘free time’ /pre-parentdays?
I still get bimonthly emails to volunteer for a local annual film festival. It is a mass distribution list and I haven’t been involved in over 9 years. I don’t unsubscribe because maybe one day I can stuff envelopes and arrange chairs to watch a free indie movie. Haha, so many other projects have bubbled up to the top since motherhood. It is definitely an activity of yesteryear. Anyone else have something they still cling on to?

I have a handful of dresses in my closet with bare backs. I used to be able to wear them without a bra. I will never again be able to wear anything in public without a bra.
But they are still hanging in my closet.

Off the top of my head, I still get emails about free movie screenings in my area - you have to get in line 1-2 hours before the event, plus fill out a survey afterward, so the total of 5 hour time commitment with only a couple days notice.... nah. I wish though!

I hope to someday use them again, but we have a huge closet full of games and card decks from when we used to host game nights. It is just too hard with kids now.

Ha! I have a guitar I have not been able to play for two years, because every time I try to tune it they're all over it. An electric piano which, to be fair, is only in my family thanks to DS, but which no one can play because DS has discovered an incredibly annoying special effects button. And a small stash of art supplies that they haven't appropriated yet - had some ugly arguments about them wanting my best brushes and pencils but I stood firm because they're just not old enough to use them properly.

I went out dancing with friends this weekend in the same area I used to go in college. It was so fun and I had too much to drink, just like college, except this time it's taken me the whole weekend to recover. 35 is not the same as 21!

All our backpacking equipment. We do car camping now, and not nearly as much even if that.
Ski gear too... though hopefully that hiatus is temporary.
