This is not to start a political debate, but if you are a Republican or generally vote conservative or are a right leaning independent, who would you vote for in the Republican primary. I know there might be other candidates later in the process, but so far the popular names include Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, Mike Huckabee, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Rick Santorum and Ted Cruz. Which of these folks would you consider voting for if they run?

I don't vote republican but I stay pretty current on politics. I think Jeb bush is a major contender for the nomination at this point...

Jeb Bush or Scott Walker. I can't handle the super far right / tea party types. Or rather, I think they have no shot at winning a general election so I just can't support them!

I wish Huntsman was still viable. He's the only republican I'd be likely to vote for. (He was wonderful for Utah). You left off Ben Carson, who is the person my parents like.

I can't say I know everything about every candidate at this point, but from what I know I would vote for Jeb Bush, Bobby Jindal, Rand Paul, or Ben Carson.
I really don't think a candidate like Mike Huckabee or Rick Santorum would do well. I would be devastated if one of them received the nomination.

We tend to vote for the financially conservative candidates versus the socially conservative ones. I haven't done much research on the current group, but I do admire Chris Christie.
My husband is a huge fan of Ron and Rand Paul, but I think they're a bit too radical for me.

I'm hoping Jeb wins the Rep nomination because he would make a fantastic president; even though my general election vote will likely go to a Dem.

I'll vote for Rand Paul in the Republican Primary.
He won't win, though, so I'll probably vote Libertarian in the general election.

I'm not leaning any certain way yet. I've been reading up on Jeb Bush a little bit, but to be honest I really dread another Bush in the mix. I'm hoping one of the other guys step it up big time. I need to start doing some more research into other potential candidates.
I'm really hoping the candidates from 4 years ago step away quietly.

DH and I still don't really know much about all of them, but we seem to be slightly in favor of Scott Walker from what we do know.

Based on what he has done in my state, it is highly unlikely that I would ever vote for him as President, but I definitely need to look at the other candidates you guys listed.
