I'm a coupon freak so stockpiled diapers like crazy before LO was born. Everyone warned me and I did not listen, and of course he is having a reaction to Huggies (which I have a TON of!)
I know which ones I got from CVS and which ones came from Walmart, but I don't have any receipts. Has anyone had luck returning diapers to either of these stores? I'm just looking to switch them with Pampers and will even pay the difference if they are more expensive.

Walmart usually has an excellent return policy. They allow you something like 3 instances of returning items without a receipt. Since you are exchanging, they'll just give you the lowest price that the Huggies were worth and you'll pay the difference.
AT least, i think that's how it will go. I've returned things to walmart without a receipt and I can't imagine diapers being any different

My SIL just told me last week that CVS will exchange diapers whether you bought them there or not.

@oahujeni: Walmart will exchange diapers but not return them. However, it still has to be a package that they sell. The count has to match up with the size boxes that they sell.
For example, Walmart might have Giant Packs which have 72 diapers but CVS giant packs might be 64 count.

Target will take back up to $75 worth in a year, and Wal-Mart is good about taking them back with no limit.

@Thehistoryofus: Ahh thanks for the info on the pack sizes being different. I didn't realize that the same "size" packs have a different number of diapers! Sneaky!

If you do have trouble returning you could always regift to a pregnant friend.

Most places will let you exchange them for store credit, but you need to make sure about the diaper count. Each store has different count of diapers per box. we had this issue with all the huggies diapers we received. We did our best to exchange most of them and regifted the few boxes that the stores wouldnt take back

I brought unopened diapers back to Target with no receipt and they took them! Got cash one time and store credit the other time.

I just wanted to thank all of you ladies for the advice. I went to CVS this morning and they took the diapers back without any questions asked. They just gave me the current value of each pack on a CVS gift card (it actually ended up being more than what I had paid for the diapers in the first place because I had bought them on sale.) I felt a little bad about that but ended up spending even more on Pampers so I guess it worked out in the end!
