Do you and your DH talk more about his work day or your work day or is it pretty equal? I always ask him about work but he only occasionally asks about mine!

Hubs talks about his day...And I talk about mine. We never really ask...It's just a part of our every day conversation!

Usually more his day, because he likes to vent about it to me. I don't usually like bringing it up again home... but I'd say it's about 60/40.

I always ask DH how business is going
I'm a SAHM so I send him picture and text updates throughout the day when he's gone.

He always remember to ask me before I remember to ask him about our days. He doesn't like to talk about his, though. He isn't very happy with his job so he clams up about it.

We're both teachers (me-preschool, him-2nd grade), so we have a lot in common when it comes to work. Its pretty equal because we end up bouncing ideas off each other/complaining together.

Wayyyy more about his work day. He likes to talk about it to process what happened and vent, if necessary...I mainly just like to kind of compartmentalize and leave work at work

Uh hubs talks about his work way too much. I'm really trying to break him of the habit, it's not good for either of us.

We both tend to not talk very much about work to each other. I'll occasionally vent to him about something or tell him about my coworkers and he does the same.

I talk about my day a lot -- I really wish I didn't, and that I could leave it at work. DH talks about his day occasionally, but not nearly as much as I do.
For those of you who are able to leave work at work, do you have any tips/ advice that might help me to do the same?

Yes, I ask about his day & he asks how DD was & what we did during the day.

I think we talk more about mine. Whenever I ask about his I get the reply, "it was work..."
More often than not I have funny stories to tell.

Yes we talk about work, but we have a rule that it can only be for 30 minutes so we don't dwell on our work and bring it home. We do not want our work life to affect our private life.

I guess it depends on the day. When he's home and at the office then it's pretty equal. But when he's home from a trip we sit down with his laptop and he'll go through photos from the entire trip. He takes a lot since he goes to places I'll never get to visit. It's really cool that he takes photos of things he thinks I'll find interesting everywhere he goes

We're pretty equal at hashing out our work day at the beginning of dinner. It's usually pretty brief though.

We used to work together, so we're used to 50/50 sharing. Now that I'm home with the kids all day, we both talk about our days, and DD tells him stories, too.

I'm home all day with LO, so of course he wants to hear about that. He doesn't talk much about his work, although I ask. He's in computers so it's not really that exciting.
When I used to work it was with people with mental illnesses, so that was always fun to talk about stories about my clients and the funny things they did and said. I have one client who thought Hitler was her bf and would always talk about him and how she didn't like Jews.... meanwhile the company I worked for was a Jewish organization.

I always ask how his day was and sometimes he'll talk more than others about it. I love hearing his work stories and knowing what's going on since his work is such a big part of our lives. I'll occasionally vent about my job but mostly it's just complaining about how annoying a kid was that day.

He works night shifts for three days straight and sleeps in between. Then wonders why I can't stop telling him things on his first day off. I know he's super tired but I've often been without much adult conversation for two days!
Otherwise we talk pretty equally.

We both quickly brief each other on our work days while we make dinner. Mine is generally more "exciting" than his, so we probably talk about mine more. This semester, my husband is only teaching courses he's already taught before, and there is only so much you can share about how a room full of college kids reacted to a lecture.

When I was at work before mat leave it was 50/50 mostly because we work for the same company, now he talks about work and I complain about our fussy girl!!! Lol!
