Since C is a *ahem* stage 5 clinger lately and won't go to sleep, stop fussing, or stop comfort nursing unless he's being worn, I'm in the market for a ring sling. We already have an Ergo and a Moby but I need something I can throw on without DH's help when I have a screaming baby. Any recommendations?

I have a Hot Sling adjustable sling and it's awesome!! LO loves it!
I also have used a Peanut Shell sling and Seven slings which are fine too, but I prefer the Hot Sling.

@yoursilverlining: I have a Peanut Shell too! It was awesome when he was first born but now that he's put on some weight it's not comfy for either of us.

@grizz: I don't know if you guys have the same issue, but I feel like the Peanut Shell got a little "sharp" on the edge of the fabric with a bigger baby. That's why we prefer the Hot Sling; lots of padding!

I have a maya wrap. It's really nice and I like it but I barely used it. It was so hot when I had DS (early September in GA) and the fabric was just too thick.

@deerylou: From the very beginning! I started with LO at 2 weeks old, would have been earlier if I had been able to stand for any amount of time without passing out.
And just a tip, tummy to tummy is now preferred over cradle holds for all ages, including newborns!

Taylor made ring sling. They are awesome, however they lack any padding. My mom bought me one when I was on labor with N. I use it all the time! It is my go to carrier and N is 20 pounds.

Hava is my favorite ring sling. Padded in the right places and easy to adjust. I used mine from day 6 on.

Comfy Joey is wonderful. So are SBP (Sleeping Baby) and Sakura Bloom. There are just many many nice ones to choose from!

We have a sakura bloom sling and really like it! I like that it's not sized so in theory DH could use it if he wanted to. I also like that it's very neutral and "goes" with anything.

I recently bought a Sleeping Baby Productions sling and i Loveeee it. so easy to use and pretty reasonable.

@deerylou: That's me too! C will decide that life is just too hard for him and he's going to fuss and shriek, and I get wayyyy too unnerved at that point to figure out the Moby on my own.

@grizz: DD isn't even here yet (grr), but I can't even successfully put a damn stuffed animal in it, without help.

I have a sleeping baby productions linen sling and I love it! Plus, it's a little more affordable than some of the other options.
