What was the final runner up for your LO's name? Ours was Mia. I'm not sure if we still want to use it for any future DDs!

Our runner-up names are still in the running until we actually have the baby (we're going in with a short-list), but a few of the names we very sadly cut from the short list over time in order to get it down to a reasonable number were: Madeline, Alice, Sadie, Evelyn, Hannah, Abigail and Leah.
We've always been fairly set on a boy name, mostly because it sounds great with our last name, is DH's middle name, hasn't been used by a family member already, and most importantly, was one of the only names we could agree on. Had DH not shot them down, I would have had Dylan, Colin and Finn on the boy list, and he would have had Adam.

We're naming her Emma Kathleen, but our first runner up was Hannah Olivia. DH is kind of a fan of holding on to that name in case we have another little girl, but I don't know how I feel about that yet!

Mia was our girl name. It was gonna be Mia Catherine. But we are having a boy.

Lala's runner up was Scarlett (if she was a red head) and M.'s runner up was Zenobia. We have some awesome boys names stored up, but no boy to use them on

@looch: I like that... a couple of ours were Matteo and Luca.

We went with Cameron, but Calvin, Connor, and Colin were also in the running. We weren't even intentionally going with C's, but I do like that it is the first letter of my maiden name. We will choose another letter next time, we don't want names to be too similar.
Our big hint to the family was that it was the name of a sporting facility (Cameron Indoor Stadium- Duke) but my husband's uncle came up with Candlestick, so that is one of his nicknames. Funny he guessed the right letter!

@Mrs. Jacks: thanks! I can't remember the middle name we chose to go with it though.
For girls names, we had Sarah and Celia. Neither one of us liked the other's top choice, I really don't know what we would have done if DS had been a girl. We probably would have had to go with a different name all together.

@blushink: I love Aria. It's actually our runner up, too. I love it, but DH wants to name her something else that sounds similar.
We're holding on to our boy name in case we have one in the future, but our runners up were Evan and Asher.

Since we aren't going to have two girls (except via act of God), Evelyn Willow was my back up.
DH kept bringing up Tobias, but I had a dog named Toby.

We didn't know what we were having. We had a definite boys name (Ryan Alden), but had a looooonnnnggg list of girls name and no clue which one we would choose. Good thing we ended up having a boy. My favorite girls name was Caitlee. My husband really liked Peter as a back up to Ryan, but Benson was my vote.

Our runner up name was Lucas. We ended up going with Logan because we liked it slightly better and the middle name was going to be Douglas after my FIL, and we couldn't do Lucas Douglas. We were going to keep it in the running, but then my dad bought a horse named Logan and changed the name to Lucas (not knowing it was our 2nd choice name).
We never fully decided on a girl's name. We liked Hannah Grace for a girl, but had a few we were discussing.

we only liked one name each time. They both would have been named Oliver if they had been a boy though.

Our backups for this baby girl were Eliza and Caroline. If we had had a boy he would have been Nathaniel.

we dontt have a runner up name for our little guy (we had such a hard time coming up with boy names that we agreed on, but we finnally have one!) although i loved Levi and Landon, hubs nixed them! but if we had a girl the name prob would of been emilynn.

Our runner up was Sarah... That was actually her name for a while, but we decided it just wasn't right for this LO. If she had been a boy her name would be Fletcher. We will still use it if we have a boy in the future.

Well our runner up is still techincally in teh running even though we think we have settled on Emerson Rhea, Everly is our back up and we will probably use it if we have another girl. Elodie, Lynden, Delaney were also on the list. Boys, we have one set boy name we will use for sure (Nolan Michael) back ups were Easton & Dexter.

our runner-up was Hunter. Grayson won because it was the first name DH and i agreed on, so i felt it was meant to be. and the fact that it isn't as popular

We had a few, Asher and Parker. He ended up getting Parker as a middle name though.
If he'd been a girl it would have been Evangeline or Adelaide.
If we have a girl next, I still plan to use those names. For a boy, we're not sure

Our runner ups for our DD were Everly and Hazel. Everly will probably be used if we have another girl.

@Mrs. Jacks: Love Luca! That was what our boy name if LO was a boy!!!!

Boy: Connor
Girl: Lily or Paige
If we end up having two kids of the same sex at some point, we'll probably revisit those names.

We had decided on two names before my LO was born and decided his name once our little guy arrived. The runner up was Henry. Since that very well could have been my LO's name, we won't be using it for any future boys down the line.
