Basically the whole execution episode in season two of the killing. It bothered me for days.

@twodoghouse: That was what I thought too. That scene was so sad with Charlie and Desmond.

The episodes where Dr. Greene on ER dies and Denny on Grey's were also tearjerkers.

@Mae: Yes, Dr Green dying on ER had me sobbing through the entire episode! I too get choked up every time I hear that version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow now - so emotional!

And yes, Sybil dying had me ugly cry sobbing my eyes out. That and the scene where Ethel gives away Charlie - again, gasping for breath sobbing!

When Rory and Amy are sent back in time by the Weeping Angels. And pretty much every time the doctor Regenerates.

Plus when Sybil died and (though I haven't watched the episode yet) I know I will when I see Matthew die. (I am terrible with watching shows that have already aired, I wikipedia it and look up what happens in future episodes!

Series finale of Dawson's Creek when Jen records the video for her daughter. Gets me everytime and I remember being a sobbing mess watching it the first time.

@winniebee: Yes. When Christina had cancer on Parenthood. Heartbreaking to watch.

I also agree with others that. Sybil's death was such a sad episode of Downton. Matthew's death was shocking and sad, too, but it couldn't rival Sybil's.
