I heard the term today SAHM: stuck at home mom. Hahaha! I laughed because that's totally how I felt all winter long... I'm actually really enjoying getting out 4x a week for work!
Are you a stay at home mom, or a stuck at home mom?

Stay at home mom ....most of the time anyway. We were stuck at home for over a month in the winter when we only had one car, but now we are back in the groove and can go wherever, whenever.

Stay I love being home and never once felt stuck, literally or figuratively.

I'm happy 75/25 being a stay at home mom, that other 25, I feel stuck! It won't be forever and my babies won't always be so small though.

haha... i'm a stay at home mom....
HOWEVER, if we didn't have two cars, i'd definitely feel more like a stuck at home one! definitely need to get out once a day!

Hmmmmm. I sometimes feel stuck. But, at the same time I love being home with her. Conflicting!!

Stay at home...we usually get out of the house at least 3-4 days a week to do errands, walk around the mall, etc. Never feel stuck. Definitely agree that things would be different if we didn't have two cars, though!

Stay at home. Were usually only home for nap time, we are always out and about.

Stay at home : ) But I've only been doing it for five months so I still feel pretty new to it!

Since it's still so new for us, most days probably "stuck" but I feel so happy I get to "stay" at home with her. The "stuck" part is mostly just my own fears and anxiety about taking her out and about still. Once we have a more predictable schedule and I have more mommy confidence, I doubt I'll ever feel stuck.

Stay at home some days are rough but those days don't happen very often.

Both but mostly stay. I do plan to work in the future though so maybe that's why I'm not a stuck at home mom! I can relate though!

I only really feel stuck when I have work from home assignments that prevent us from getting out. I love hanging out with my little guy and coming up with interesting places to go. Feeling stuck with him hasn't been an issue for a long time, and I make sure we get out at least once a day.

@shopaholic: It took me a full 3 months to gain confidence with him to go out regularly without getting rattled by him crying. Honestly, I was scared of him and wasn't confident in how to calm him down for a while.

Definitely stay! I love my time at home with DD, even on the rough days, and would much rather stay at home than be stuck at work, missing out on time with her. We do get out a lot but are also happy to hang out around the house as well!

STUCK! I love not working an being with my child 24/7 *but* in Michigan, we can't do anything that many other moms can do.
No park..it's freezing all the time..
No nice mommy/baby classes because my city is so small and lame...
No zoos nearby..nothing!
I love being with my son all day but both him and I are stuck and we can't even do fun things together.

@shopaholic: I felt the same way! I know some people say they're easiest to take out the younger they are but my LO was really fussy on outings for the first 4 months. She's getting close to 7 months now and easy to take out!

Definitely stay at home mom! I would feel stuck if I didn't have my own car though. We get out of the house at least once every day and that makes all the difference!

@lemondrop: @googly-eyes: Thanks for the input ladies! 3-4 months would have sounded like forever and awful to me prior baby arriving, but the first month has flown by! I'm looking forward to being able to do more with baby and working on the confidence day by day!

@shopaholic: 3-4 months can feel like forever when you're in the thick of it too but it could be sooner for you, I know this is trite but all babies (and mommies!) are different! And once you get your confidence it's here to stay!
