I do not. I was actually talking about this with one of DH's best friends (a guy). He and his wife are expecting their first, wife would love husband to be a SAHD, but he's not so sure and feels like he'd always be the odd man out. There are a couple of dads I see out at local activities but I haven't really talked to them. I feel like it's a lot harder for them to connect with the other moms. Sucks, though.

I don't know any SAHDs! But I don't even have any other moms over usually haha my house is usually too messy!

I've met up at the playground with SAHDs, but nothing in our homes as yet. I think it would be ok. I feel like I know them fairly well at this point since we bump into each other so much at school and other places around town.

I've never even considered that this could be an issue...the only SAHD I know is my cousin, so obviously that's different. But when I did work I was the only female in my department and I did end up being friends with several of my co-workers to the extent that we'd occasionally hang out outside of work. If my DH had a problem with it, I would had a problem with the fact that either he didn't trust me or thought I had bad judgement with choosing friends.

This isn't weird to me at all, why should it even be an issue? Are you worried or is your husband worried?

@luckypenny: Well, I can only speak for me, but if I wasn't sure, I'd tell my husband about it, but I wouldn't present it as an option, rather a fact. "Hey, I am going over to blah blah's house this afternoon for pizza."

If he had a problem with it, I would be pretty upset, because that would imply he doesn't trust me or he doesn't trust this other guy and life is too short to be worried all the time.

No. The only one I sort of know is my BFFs DH who is home half the week (they both have irregular schedules) but we never hang out without my BFF. I don't think DH would have a problem if I did have playdates with a SAHD, but maybe if it were at home and so late, it might seem weird.
