My husband used to work far away and I hated the drive. I'd go bring LO to visit and to go to lunch every once in a while to show her off to his coworkers.
He got a new job and the drive is much easier. It's also right across the street from where we go to library once a week so hopefully we'll see him much more now

I used to bring the kids into DH's last job, since I also worked there for a few years. DH's new job is sensitive, though, and he can't have visitors. He's home really early in the afternoons, though, so I don't mind not being able to see him at his office.

I won't be able to when we have kids :(. DH works in a nuclear plant and they don't allow visitors other than for work related things. It sucks because I'd love to go for a tour to see what he does!

Similar to @Mrs. Champagne DH's work doesn't allow visitors. He works for a refinery, and when I used to visit he had to come out to see me in the car.

Yep! Usually I'll take him his lunch so we get a quick visit in. The last couple days he's been taking the car to let me sleep and he's just coming home for lunch.

i'm not a SAHM(yet) but I work from home. once in a while if i'm out that way towards DH work I will take DS in, or we meet for lunch.

Every once in a while I do. Since he's military, his lunch times are not always reliable though.
I actually stopped by yesterday, though only for a few minutes to pick something up from him.

Yup setimes we go along with him his work too. Its a family business so that makes it easier to see him with his crazy hours he works.
