Does anyone know where I could find a sailor outfit for my 18 month old?
My grandfather passed away yesterday. He was in the Navy and they are doing a military service for him. I would love to get a sailor suit or something dressy & nautical for DS for the services.
I would need to purchase in store in the next day or two.
Has anyone seen anything out there?

Have you looked at J&J? They have some cute things with anchors on them. http://bit.ly/17xLLsU They probably aren't dressy enough but it might be nice to take him in something nautical if you don't want to buy him a suit.

@mediagirl: thanks - Gramps (great-Gramps!) was the best. I already miss him.
Maybe I'll go to the J&J store and see if I can make one of the pieces a little dressier with maybe a jacket or something if I can't find a sailor suit. You might think you'd see something with July 4th coming up, but I haven't seen anything this year.

@rachiecakes: sorry about your grandpa! You may be able to find something at Saks or NM... I feel like I have seen sailor stuff in the past by brand like Florence Eiseman. I didn't really see anything online but maybe in the store since it's close to July 4...

@rachiecakes: I do love that little one piece and I bet you everyone would think more that he is adorable than he isn't dressed up. I think if you can find it in store, it would be a great tribute to your Gramps!!

I saw this on Sears... not sure if it's available in stores.

@mrsjyw: I can't get the link - I came in to work for the morning to get things out of the way, taking the rest of the week off. I'll take a look at home. One of my co-workers suggested Sears.. wonder if I could get overnight shipping.. hmm

Gymboree has a sailor line out. On the website if you type Sailor into the search box it will come up. Looks like it is on sale so not sure how much is left in stores.

I would say any dept store would probably have one (Sears, JCPenney, Dillard's, Macy's, etc)

@mediagirl: yes! he looked perfect. he ran up behind the two sailors and clapped when the played 'taps' at the cemetery.
it's been a hard week.
