This past weekend I read both of these stories that involve police officers. I'm just sad that this is our world right now.

From what I've read there have been 4 shot (not killed) in the past day or so.
This screenshot is from the officer down memorial page. Crazy. ETA- and these don't include all attacks, just fatalities, more any of the civilians hurt or killed due to possibly less proactive policing. Whatever ones stance is on these issues it is a sad state of affairs.

We lost 2 police officers in Iowa a couple weeks ago as well:
