I'm looking for some sandals for my 14 month old (he is walking). Going to the park and playing in the sand has made me realize we need sandals, STAT! I don't think he'll like flip flops. I need something that will stay on his chunky feet! Any suggestions? I'd rather not pay over $30, but I'll take any suggestions and look out for a good sale if I have to!
ETA: he's a size 4.5-5 if that makes a difference.

Crocs! They're the easiest to slip on and off. Some people like Natives too.

I just bought some crocs for my 18-month-old for a trip to Arizona. He loves them! The first day I let him wear them around the house he cried when I tried to take them off for his nap!

Definitely something that covers the toes. Based on the scuffs on the top of C's early shoes, she would have scraped up her toes pretty bad early on.

Yeah we really liked crocs! She could get them dirty and we just rinsed them off!

I like Natives (jeffersons) but they're a bit expensive - they do have knock offs at old navy! http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=37871&departmentRedirect=true#department=166
I also found good closed toe sandals at payless last summer! I wanted something to protect his toes more than flip flops.

I love stride rite leather sandals - they're so durable, protect my sons toes (a big concern because he still trips/falls) and are affordable!
