Do you sanitize toys after your LO and friends' Los all slobber over the same toys? I hadn't really thought about it before, but now I'm wondering if I should!
If you do, what do you use to clean them?

I do if I see that something has gone into a LO's mouth. It's usually something plastic so I just wash it with hot water and soap.

Funny to read this as I'm in the process of doing this right now! We had a friend over yesterday who has three kids that are recovering from strep/colds. The two older ones knew to wash their hands, but the 18-month-old had everything in his mouth. Since my son is only 4 months, I figure better safe than sorry and I'm cleaning things that he puts in his mouth. Paranoid? Maybe, but it's worth a few minutes of my time if it prevents him from getting sick!

Nope, not unless a kid was seriously chewing on it the whole time. LO spends a lot of time around the same kids, so I don't stress about it---I figure they all share germs anyway.

We don't have people over much but I totally wipe stuff down when we do. I usually just use a warm rag with some dish soap.

Nope. Never even crossed my mind. I guess I would wash off a toy if I knew the kid was sick.

I did when she was much younger and they were all putting toys in their mouths.

I have no time for that! Lord knows what she puts in her mouth at daycare, my friends' kids drool is like filtered water in comparison!

Nope, not unless the other kid has been sick...but even then, I figure they've probably shared germs already.

Not usually unless someone was sick or had a toy in their mouth. I clean the toys once every few weeks with Lysol anyway.

Yes just Lysoled the PNP down after another baby with a runny nose was in it. If the kid is really sick I will Clorox wipe it down then rinse with water.

I totally did when LO1 was little. She put everything in her mouth and I was paranoid and I SAH so she didn't have the daycare exposure aspect.

I would never. Germ exposure is healthy, and a lack of it is very bad for children.
