Would you rather have a photo with Santa holding your crying baby or one with Mom & Dad holding a smiling baby?
We did Santa photos yesterday and we opted for the one where we held our LO. Felt a little weird to be in the Santa photo though! I kinda wish we had also purchased the photo where she was crying too but it was going to be another $20.

The crying ones ARE hilarious, but I'd rather one of me holding her smiling. I love when OTHER people have the crying ones though.

We went the last 2 years and she cried so we bailed. We don't want to be in the pic.

I went with the crying photo because I was not fit to be in any photo that day. I really should of come prepared but I obviously had high hopes!
And she wasn't really smiling in the family pic. She was just not crying. Haha

I couldn't leave him crying in the lap of a strange dude. It felt wrong. So I'm in the pic smiling and he is confused.

Me & my husband are both in the picture. I wasn't about to do it alone! She wouldn't let Santa touch her. In the one picture of her alone with Santa she looked like she was being tortured. Not cute. She's not smiling in the picture with us, but better than being tortured.

Ummmm we both got in the picture with her and she STILL screamed because Santa was close to her.

We did one today and as soon as we put her in Santa's lap she started crying. Then they let me put her on my lap but did some tricky editing so it looks like she's sitting on his lap and I'm not there. Looks good too! We were able to get the digitals of all pics so have both happy and sad.

if she was crying, i would rather do that. i wouldn't take her just to cry, but for the photo of her and santa, no matter the reaction!

@mamamoose: can I vote for crying with me too? we tried the santa thing last year and NO GO but she was already screaming by the time I took her back and there was a long line so we just went for it. I think she was still freaked out by santa sitting next to us too.
hoping for better luck now that she's almost 2 but I think I will just hold her and not try santa's lap.

I think it's cute to see the progression of Santa photos over the years. I wonder when kids stop wanting to go take a photo with Santa.
@sunny: my friend took her LO to the Nordstrom in Seattle and he cried so they opted for a photo of him sitting the chair alone and Santa is behind the chair peeking over at him.

I'm so hoping for a crying photo! But I'm a rotten mom who was laughing at him crying because I wouldn't add more milk to his already full sippy cup tonight.

I just don't get the crying Santa photos. I don't think we're going to do a photo with Santa this year, but if we do/did I'd be in the photo, too! I don't want to traumatize DD lol.
