I'm here - I was working on my front garden early this morning, going to pick some veggies from my potted plants in the back shortly. Trying to relax before getting the laundry/cleaning done and enjoying the sunlight. I have to work on some invitation orders I have, and avoid email from my day job

I was having a short-lived fantasy about going grocery shopping alone. But Eric burst my bubble because he has to work. So we are going to work on Ellie's treehouse, go do some household shopping, and play at the park.
Slow at work can be boring, but sometimes it's also a nice break. Hope you're finding it a nice break!
Lorelei kept talking about Cobi when we were at the Children's Museum yesterday. She remembered you guys going with us and kept trying to look for him. It was really cute.

and yay for gardening! We live in an apartment, so I don't have one - but my dad is big on gardening and we love all his fresh veggies in the summer! He gave me a zucchini yesterday that is about a foot long - it's huge!

Trying to get baby to nap in our bed so I can get something done (I usually hold her for her first nap). It's my husbands first weekend off in two weeks, and its sooo nice to have him home!
But we are both tired, LO didn't sleep very well last night

@Mrs. Pen - I dabble in it, along with some event planning. Most of the stuff I've done for family but I just got two referrals so starting to look at some inspiration online
When we get a bigger place I told DH that he has to build a veggie garden into the backyard, but I have to say I'm so surprised at the amount that we've grown in pots this year! My aunt grows zucchini and YES! they are huge when you grow them on your own!

It's 9 here, I'm in bed with a cat asleep on my chest. DH is still sleeping. Once the cat gets up I need to go empty the fridge at my parents' house- we've been house sitting so I need to get our stuff out for when they come back. I also need to clean my car- it's gross. And the cat just got up, I guess that's my cue to do the same!

@babycanuck: we didn't do a garden this year because I was due in late April. It definitely would have been too much, but I'm really missing the fresh veggies. We also usually do our own jams from berries we pick...but didn't get to it this year
now we have to buy everything!

@Mrs. Pen: haha I never grow zucchini because everyone is always trying to get rid of theirs! We shred it and freeze it for zucchini bread or just make lots of loaves and freeze those

I'm up, relaxing after my shower and savoring these last few lazy Saturdays before baby girl comes. My shower is this afternoon, so I am looking forward to it!

Trying to get DH to wake up because I want him to hang the new fan in our nursery before he leaves for a bachelor party this afternoon. I am not very successful!

Everyone in the house is asleep except my dumb dog who has just bothered me all morning lol! So we are just sitting here waiting for everyone else to wake up.

G woke up at 5, so we all snuggled for a bit and watched TV. Just got back from donuts and a target run, and now I'm going back to sleep while DH does baby duty!

Enjoying a weekend up in the mountains. Dogs are up at 6:30 of course so we went on a walk and are back at the cabin while everyone else is still asleep.
If I was at home I'd be working on my garden
It's been cool here lately so my tomatoes have been coming in slow this year. Which is actually kind of nice-- we've actually been able to eat them without giving them away or freezing them.ETA: this wee'ks tomatoes (and a couple squash) we brought up for caprese salad at the cabin.

I'm letting F wear himself out before his am nap. He usually pulls every book off the shelf, tosses them around, and bangs them together before crawling over to cuddle with me and fall asleep.
After that I'll join my husband who's already napping in our room. I have to work in my classroom for a few hours and we're going to measure the garage so we can get insulation/drywall to finish the inside.

Just getting on for the day... took DH to work (which he was running late for) and then made a quick trip to Hobby Lobby to start getting some things for G's bday party..... Superhero masks anyone?! lol

Its almost 4.30pm here and I'm still in my pjs! Disgraceful. There's no excuse either, DD is napping and DH is here to watch her anyway! I'm about to eat some pate on sweet chilli oat biscuits I think. Then maybe I will shower!

I just finished stuffing the inserts into clean cloth diapers and now E is playing while I lay here and watch him. DH is asleep.

I've had LO this morning while DH slept in and then changed his oil. Now we are winding down for nap time. His surprise 39th birthday party is tonight.
