I plan on saving almost all of the toys for baby #2. Once we are done having kids, I'll purge it all.

I saved all because kids can be into different things. Once they are outgrown by #2 (our last) they are put the door.

I saved everything except a few toys that played music that drove me crazy But we have plenty of storage space, and if my current pregnancy is successful, our boys will be only three years apart. I’m doing a purge after the younger one is done with them.

I saved it all in disorganized boxes and then just went through it recently and purged anything we hated or wasn’t in good shape. We will have a nearly 4 year age gap.

I saved 80% of my daughter’s stuff. I donated or tossed duplicates, stuff that was falling apart, stuff that was huge and short lasting (jumpers, walkers), and stuff that made noise. The short lasting giant stuff I know I can pick up for cheap on my local bst

I hate stuff and clutter so I saved a basket of baby toys I liked and figured baby would want to play with his brothers toys and would grow into them soon enough. A lot of the toys that we had around for Mr 3 year old we're actually fine for baby too (douplos, building blocks, train tracks, kitchen stuff).

We saved everything. My youngest is now 2 and he has outgrown toys more quickly since he just wants to play with the same toys as my older son!

I pared our stash down, getting rid of cheap or bulky stuff my son didn't really like. I can't stand clutter and learned early on that toys are fun for the kids for like a week then they're not interested (just like adults!) I probably got rid of had the toys- I gave them away on FB mom swap page. Ds#2 will have much fewer toys but a big brother so I'm not too worried about it 🤣

I will say that when I put that I “saved everything” we have never had a ton of toys compared to some of my friends’ kids. So if you have a LOT of toys maybe consider paring down or at least doing a toy rotation.

I have kept everything from #1. When we’re done having kids I’ll do a huge purge.

We saved everything for #2 and I'm glad we did. Was so much easier. Now as #2 outgrows it I just purge it immediately.

We are still undecided on a second but considering DD is 3.5 we are looking at a large age gap. We have kept about 50% of the baby/early toddler toys. Though we have never had a ton of toys. It was pretty easy to weed out the broken things, the ones that annoyed the crap out of us, and ones that were just too large to store easily.

Most of the toys past baby/early toddler are ones that DD still plays with, and likely will for the future.

Also consignment stores always tend to have lots of baby toys in good shape. We can always buy a few more used toys if we really need them.

My mother had 6 children. We did annual purges of uninteresting/broken toys, but otherwise, we kept everything. My youngest sibling is in high school, but she still has two closets full of toys in the basement that are different and unique for the grandkids to enjoy at grandma's house.

I keep all toys except ones I hate. I'm not done having kids yet, but when we start to outgrow toys, I'll keep the unique and good quality toys for the grandkids to eventually play with.
