DH comes home from working offshore tonight (woohoo!!!)...He's been gone 3 weeks!!!
So he lands at 8:45, and the airport is 30 mins away, so we'll leave at 8:15....I usually start bath time/bedtime at 9p in hopes of getting my little party animal down by 10p.
So do I bathe her beforehand so maybe she'll be sleepy and sleep in the carseat, or just push everything back until we get home around 10?
The carseat will go one of two ways... Either sleeping or screaming:). I am nervous!

I'd bathe beforehand so if she falls asleep you can just move her to her crib.

If it were me, she would be bathed and in her jammies when we hit the road. That way when you get home, no matter what the drive ended up being like, at least it's a quick tansfer to sleep.
We learned the hard way to bring jammies with us when we're going to be out later than usual to avoid the meltdown once we get home changing her and putting her to bed.

I'd also bathe her beforehand. She'll smell delicious for DH! Good luck, I hope she's a sleeper and not a screamer!

Another vote for bathe before and just put her in jammies for the car ride. I bet she'll fall right asleep on the drive!

I would get her bathed and in her pjs before you leave...It will just make it easier for it to be done with for when you get home with your DH.

Do it before, but if the drive gets her too worked up, just redo when DH is home so that he can help be a part of the bedtime ritual.

I would just pretend like you're doing bedtime and plop her in the carseat...and then hope she sleeps and you can transfer her : )

Thanks you guys! The GREAT news is he ended up getting a flight that landed at 5pm, so crisis averted, and we got to see him 4 hours earlier! As crappy as I've been feeling lately about work, I needed those 4 extra hours:). That man is my everything:)
@highwire: Haha!!! I saw that and actually fully intended on participating, but things accelerated a little to quickly once we got some alone time...I basically just gave it right up;)
