We aren't. My lo is younger, 4 months, so it's more about making sure she gets her naps in and eats every few hours. But sometimes she wants to nap earlier or later than normal, and I don't care. As long as she naps and is happy.

In between we don't do set things either. Sometimes we just play, sometimes I clean, it have a random project, or well go out to lunch. We're very flexible.

When I was a SAHM we had very, very, VERY set schedule. I'm such a control freak that I needed a set schedule to survive. Unfortunately, kids change all the time so I'd get unbelievably stressed when he woke up early from his nap or wasn't hungry at the feeding time. I finally learned how to compromise with him though: we'd have a set schedule, but it would pretty much change every week. Once I accepted that, things were much better.

@rosiegirl how old is your baby? I always said we would keep a strict schedule but it went out the window. Now that he's almost 3 its easier and especially because he has lots of playdates so his day is pretty scheduled.

i think we'll be a little more lax as charlie gets to be your son's age since he'll probably drop his nap (the horror!).

@artbee: charlie has always been an excellent napper... post nap training that is! and we can always get him to nap in his stroller if he doesn't nap.
