What’s a good scooter for a 4 year old who is not naturally very athletic and has never ridden a bike or balance bike or anything with wheels?

@LadyDi: DD has had a globber scooter since she was three. She figured it out really quickly and has loved it since. We have one with an adjustable handle bar and at almost five (and really tall) she has a lot of growing room left with it. If I were buying today I would buy the same brand but get the one that is foldable. We take it a lot of places and it's pain that you can't fold it.

My LO (almost 4) got a Globber last December, and we have been very happy with it!

My 4 year old got a micro mini for her 3rd birthday, and she still loves it. We got the one that is adjustable, so she still has room to grow. Even at 3, she was able to learn to ride it very quickly. That style (3 wheels, lean to steer) seems a lot easier to learn and ride than bigger, clunkier scooters that some of our friends have.

We have two micro minis also. We got one for younger DD when she had just turned 2 because she kept stealing her sister’s. Very easy to handle and still works well for older DD who is now 6. I like the adjustable one best, just for its longevity.

Micro! We don't currently have but my kids have played with their cousins and they are a smooth/sturdy ride! We happened to have other brand hand me downs, so we're just gonna deal with those and maybe splurge on Micro's when they're older.
