I'm visiting my cousin this weekend and her sweet baby boy! They live in an area without a Target (I know the madness) so my go too GC is out of the question. I got her a box of diapers, but any other gifts you liked/appreciated? I would like to throw something else in with it too, it is her second boy so no clothes needed!

Food is also a great gift, either snacks for mom or a gift card for some kind of take out.

I appreciated Amazon gift cards like crazy - stuff I needed delivered right to me without trying to get everyone out the door. Also, one of my friends bought me a mani/pedi and offered to watch the little one while I went - was an AWESOME gift!

Depends on how old the baby is. I like to do protein bars, Starbucks packets of instant coffee, and a new pair of sweat / PJ pants one size bigger with the tag cut out

Our friends got us a gift card to a restaurant in our area that does delivery, and to a local drug store - it was so appreciated. But also it's nice for a second baby to have something that's just his - maybe a little toy or something?

@raspberries: I second Amazon gift card for all those little things you realize you need, and don't want to go to the store for!
Another practical thing I've realized is I need so MANY batteries to replace in all the gear LO #1 has outgrown lol
I never got a Sophie Giraffe teether so that's another #2 biggie! (Not sure if people replace their teethers between babies, #1 never cared for them?)

I like the idea of practical items but I also always like to give books.

My friend recently had her 3rd boy and aside from food and Target GC, we got her a few little things that she might need-- new bottle washer, teethers, nice bibs, board books.

Food- especially home baked goods (I have a crazy sweet tooth right now) and things that can be eaten one handed. And an Amazon gc is great. Not the most personal but it will be used especially if she has prime.
