So we use a simple human trash can for toddler's diapers and toss out the bag every night into our big black trash bin. It makes the black trash bin stink to high heaven. I was thinking of getting a small bin (with a good lid) just for storing the daily diaper trash, and then tossing that garbage bag in the big bin every sunday for weekly trash pickup. I figure it would be easier to hose out the smaller bin to deal with the smell. I would probably keep the smaller bin in the garage. But I would still have to deal with the stench every time I open the smaller bin.

Does anyone else do this or have another suggestion?

Are there garbage bags that mask the odor of dirty diapers? Should i wrap poop diapers in newspaper before tossing them into the garbage (would help minimize smell when cleaning poop from my cat's litterbox)?
