What age did your LO have separation anxiety? We had our nanny start today and our LO is only 15 wks and she cried her head off from the moment I walked out the door until napping out of exhaustion and then cried again until my husband got home. Luckily this was a shorter 4 hr day, but she'll be up to 8 hrs by Friday! Shes not usually a super fussy baby like this and I believe our nanny was trying everything - she even called her grandma for tips!
I feel like this is so young to start. When did it start for your LO?
it's going to take some time for them to figure one another out, i'm not sure that having you or your SO around at the same time is going to help, i think it's something LO and the nanny are just going to have to work through. it will get better, LO will learn the nanny can meet their needs while you're away and nanny will learn what comforts LO. i'm sorry it's a rough transition for you guys, i hope things get better soon!
