Well, I'm guessing I DID OV yesterday. I will be watching the next two day's temps (and I hope to make it out of the 97Β° bracket!). Still going to BD this morning so we also hit the O+1 ... this cycle we could not participate in SMEP, BUT we have hit O-1 (2Γ), O, and hopefully O+1. Fingers crossed my May-bae (DD) [& my December dude (DS)] will be a big sibling to another May-bae!

@Sams Mom: That looks lovely! I'm no good at sewing, I tend to skip or speed through finicky steps like...I'm not sure what's the word for it? When you stitch the pieces together by hand before using the sewing machine. So end result doesn't look like I planned and I'm disappointed.
I like knitting, but I rarely go by a pattern or instruction. I tend to make it up as I go along.
@Kaohinani: That's a solid jump! Fingers crossed!
I'm really hoping we can all graduate from the TTC board this month...
It's not been a good day for me. My mother had to put down her dog today and I am livid with her! The dog had some serious health issues and at this moment it was the only option left, but the issues started months ago! I just saw her two months ago and she was skin and bone. She had lost so much weight. She was still eating a bit at that time, but I told my mother to take her to the vet. It had been really hot for a long time and I get that it's normal she didn't want a lot to eat because of the heat, nobody does, but it was out of hand already.
It was just now, two days ago when they finally decided it's time to act and the rushed the poor pup to the vet. She was there for two nights getting fluids and meds but took a turn for the worse early this morning.
I can't tell them anything, because they're grieving, they are not actually bad pet owners, they just didn't get the gravity of the situation. But still.
I loved that dog to bits.
I'm sorry for being a downer. I just had to get it out.

@paranundrum: I'm so sorry for your sadness and anger over the loss of your mother's dog. Pets are family, especially to those of us who love animals and are sensitive to their needs. I don't believe anyone would assume your mother was being intentionally negligent, but rather that she may not have fully understood the grave nature of her dog's ailment at the time. Loss is hard. You are not a downer.

@Kaohinani: looks promising!
As for me, still no peak, so Iβm currently sitting in the parking lot of my RE. US in 20 min and then will know more. π€

@Kaohinani: Thank you. Dogs are my favourite people and it hit me hard.
I'm also so sad for my siblings, I have two sisters and two brothers, the eldest is eleven, we just lost our grandmother in April, she was living with them and now they had two losses so close together.

@yellowbeach: I read (the time I had 11 "HiGH" reads) and only caught my surge using regular OPKs, that, sometimes, your regular LH is high so your surge won't read as much greater on the monitor; therefore, it will maintain a constant "blinking smiley" for that cycle. Since you had a miscarriage, your residual LH could be higher and could be tricking the CBEAD monitor. In either case, you will soon find out what is going on and, hopefully, will get your BFP from your FET. π€π§‘
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Kaohinani: interesting about a constant surge - I guess that would make the delta seem small and potentially undetectable. Not entirely sure how the tests work.
Jut had my US to see if we are going to trigger and transfer on Saturday. My largest follicle was 17mm and they wanted to see 18, so the NP who did the US (Labor Day afterall) is going to talk to my RE and see what they want to do. My uterine lining is trilaminal and 9mm so thatβs apparently just what they want. Trigger shot in hand though! Just a question of Sat vs Sun I think.

@Kaohinani: definitely looks promising! Crossing my fingers for the next two temps for you. Also, *success mentioned*, right after my CP, I got pregnant with my DD... we only BDβd once that whole week (I was working nights and still sort of out it sorts because of the CP) on O-5 or O-4... so fingers crossed!
@paranundrum: Iβm sorry about your loss dogs are like family.
@yellowbeach: EEK!! So exciting! Youβre so close! Glad your lining looked really good.
I got that almost positive OPK yesterday, it even looks like it might be positive once it dried. My spotting only stopped yesterday and I had a weird fever/feeling super crappy last night so no BD hoping we can get the next couple days in. I never got a period on Mirena, just like 1 wipe worth of spotting occasionally. Looking back at FF, a lot of my cycles were 23-26 days, so I guess that makes sense that I could be Oβing early.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@yellowbeach: That is exciting! Maybe wait until Sunday? I would (impulsively) want to trigger on Saturday; however, if your waiting to see if the follicle will get bigger, perhaps, give the poor thing an extra day to develop. I'm so unbelievably excited for you!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@QBbride: Thank you! Your news is always so uplifting... I conceived my DD with one shot as well but it wasn't during a wonky cycle or after a CP. This cycle (with all of its weirdness) is a whole new beast for me. π€£ I have also never conceived after a loss so it would be amazing to do so.
I'm hoping you can get some BD-ing in. I would love to see a BFP from you as bold as your OPK. Good luck !

@Sams Mom: How are you doing with the Femara? What mg did your OBGYN place you on? I've read the worst side effects are headache, dizziness, and flushes and they come on quickly but that they are (usually) more mild than with Clomid. I'm hoping bc I still need to discuss discontinuing Clomid with my OBGYN and, hopefully, trying a month or two of Femara. I'm hopeful (if nothing comes from this cycle) since Femara isn't known to thin the uterine lining, dry CM, nor is it known to cause AS MUCH weight gain. (π€)
Just want to know how you've been with it thus far.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: he put me on 2.5 to start with, which I think is the lowest dose. The hot flashes came on fast but I haven't had any other side effects yet.
I'm a little overly concerned about the side effects on a male baby if I take it while pregnant... Like we all know I test a lot, and is unlikely I would ever miss knowing that I was pregnant and start another cycle... But ugggghhhhhh I'm still worried about it.
Also my mom who is kind of crunchy, usually has an opinion about any modern medicine π didn't go on a tangent this weekend about me switching to femara when it's on label use is breast cancer chemo... So that made me feel better.
But then my stupid older sister went off on me about how I'm trying to get pregnant but I'm taking CHEMO!? Thank God our Aunt who is actually on it for it's intended purposes pointed out to me stupid sister that she's on a WAY higher dose than I am so she doesn't see what the big deal is.
All that rambling to say I was scared to tell my mom because I'd get a lecture, she was ok with it, but then my know it all older sister stressed me out as much as I expected my mom to.

@Sams Mom: fingers crossed so so hard that Femara does the trick for you!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: You are a super-duper-uber tester so I wouldn't be SOOOOOO worried about the effects on a fetus. Also, that is one of the reasons why my OBGYN has me stagger the mos that I am on fertility medications (* one month on, one off, back on, and so on ...). That and so any uterine lining that was lost would have a chance to rebuild. Anyway, I do understand both your concern and not wanting to hear other people's opinions on your choice. It is frustrating, especially when you love the people who just aren't backing up your decisions and seem to have contradictory opinions about everything.
Anyway, I'm glad you are only getting the sweats. It appears you are predisposed to getting those anyway no matter what medication you take ... perhaps it is your body chemistry, or hormones, or even a reaction between medications you take when combined with fertility treatments? IDK.

@Kaohinani: full of crazy mood swings and getting up to pee 5000 times . I'm still so excited. And hoping you and Sam's mom join me with may babies

@MamaBear87: What an awesome day ... That is my DD's b'day! I'm partial to May 7th and Dec 31st (DS's b'day). Lol. Anyway, I'm so excited for you! I'm glad that (besides moods and pee ), you are doing well. I hope Sam's Mom and I can join you on the May board as well. Keep us updated on your progress now and again, please.

@Kaohinani: my birthday is March 7th and my lo is October 27th so I'm fond of 7s too
I'll tag you guys on fun updates! (I know some days I couldn't see updates from pregnant ladies on this board)
Hoping your temp keeps going up!

@Kaohinani: fingers crossed!! Your temps do look promising!!!
@paranundrum: Iβm so sorry to hear about your dog
@Sams Mom: hope Femara does the trick for you this cycle!!
As for me, my temps continued to rise in the past week so Iβm pretty sure I did ovulate on 8/26, which means Iβm 8dpo today. Iβll probably start testing tomorrow although I donβt have too much hope for this cycle since I ovulated later than expected and had bad bd timing, but I guess there was still a super tiny chance lol.
Canβt believe itβs september already!! Looking forward to cooler weather ahead, itβs been a scorching summer.

RE just called. Iβm supposed to take my HcG trigger shot tonight π€© and we are planning to do our Transfer Sunday morning. Iβm so so excited! Sunday is so much more convenient and itβs so close! I didnβt realize Iβd be taking a trigger, so I might need to trend that out of my system before my POAS date. There might be all kinds of sticks posted by me this month!

@yellowbeach: WOW! THAT is some EXCITING news!!!! F'x π€ and much luck that this brings you your sticky BFP! π§‘

@yellowbeach: that is very exciting! (I would also test out my trigger... Because peeing on all the things, and science

So my first 2 days of my period have been hell! Heavy bleeding, heavy cramping, just all around crappy... Now there is hardly anything when I wipe, but still cramping some. I'm so confused, I haven't had a 2-3 day cycle since I was in the best shape of my life working out every day and playing volleyball.
ETA: I am nowhere near being in shape let alone the best shape of my life circa 18 years old
pomegranate / 3192 posts
Ok I just took another OPK this AM. I know itβs better to do them in the afternoon but I love peeing on sticks so I think this mornings is more positive than yesterday?! Hard to compare exactly since the top one is dry and the bottom one isnβt yet. I hope an egg is mature enough that early in my cycle
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: Oh, no! You've entered my (usual) world of the 2-3 days of AF (cramping, crankiness, and weird blood) then spotting for a day and NOTHING. Scant period zone. Worst part is with short AFs, usually, OV comes sooner... be on the lookout, lady. You may POAS earlier than you set out to this month (which may not be so bad, I suppose). It may actually bring about your September BFP. π€
I can't believe that you played vball as well. I played intramural in jr high, varsity volleyball in H.S. (All 5ft 2 of me was a power server and a defensive specialist), and my freshman year of college (Libero). ... I'm telling you, we are related. π€£π€£

Nothing exciting happening here. Today is CD14. I've been testing since CD9 without a positive OPK. Yet I've had ovulation pain and EWCM. The tests were getting darker around CD12 but have since gotten lighter. So idk. I'll keep testing.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: hopefully I don't O too soon because my estimated fertile week falls right on my husband's next days off!
I am not meant or built for defensive specialist or libero I was an Opposite hitter/strong side blocker, would serve and then rotated out. I played for 7 years, could have played for a very small university in northern Iowa, but was too chicken shit to move that far away from my parents... O well
And thank God I don't know where my yearbook is because I was all arms and legs and looked goofy as hell
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@LAZB: in your experience with Femara, does the same rules apply as Clomid in the whole "earliest you can O is 5 days after your last pill"? or no? I don't know what to expect.
I ovulate on my own, but I have 25/26 day cycles so I O on my own on CD11 or 12. With clomid I would O on 14, until I went to to 150 then I would O on CD15.
clementine / 795 posts
@Kaohinani: thank you!!!
@yellowbeach: ooh exciting!!
@QBbride: time to get busy!!
@Berly: keep testing! That happened to me this cycle and I eventually ovulated later than βnormalβ (in quotes bc my cycles tend to be irregular).
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@starlitsky: ha hoping to get busy! Bad timing because I got my IUD out on Wednesday and had heavy spotting Wed-Sat then I was sick last night we DTD Saturday and hopefully we can sneak in a couple times in the next few days.
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@Sams Mom: hmmm, I donβt know if itβs the same. I Oed on day 18 I think (usually O around day 22 on my own).
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: From all of the [medical] data that I've read, Femara does not affect OV dates. Now, whether that is true or not I do not know first hand. I suppose it varries with woman, cycle, and the number of cycles one is on Femara.

Hey y'all. I haven't had time to catch up on the thread with everyone but wanted to update real quick since I'm done POAS this month, BFN on 10dpo and 12dpo. Pretty sure we're out. Fingers crossed for everyone else!!
