@KrzyRiver: congrats!
For the ladies with the BFPs this month, did you do anything different?
apricot / 276 posts
@ms.line: @sslm: @Crystal: Thanks ladies! I'm so excited! Hubby and I told ourselves we wouldn't get too excited until we got past 7 weeks (the longest I ever made it before a MC) but it's just not possible. Lol. Going to stay positive and enjoy it.
@Crystal: I was A LOT more relaxed this month during my fertile window. We just BDed at least every other day starting on CD 12 and we had fun with it. I still charted but I didn't obsess over it. Those were the only things I did differently this time. Lol

@KrzyRiver: amazing!! Congrats! What is your EDD?!
@Crystal: I'm not sure we really did anything differently. We were only able to BD the day of my positive OPK which was 0-1. We didn't use preseed and we usually do. Other than that I feel like I came to terms a bit with our loss after we said goodbye to her ashes so maybe that helped my body relax a bit.

@delight: Based on the day that I *think* I ovulated... May 16!! I haven't had a chance to go back and read the previous posts. What's yours???
pomelo / 5326 posts
@KrzyRiver: May 14 based on O. I have my second beta draw tomorrow so hoping I see a good increase!

I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. After AF came last week I felt really depressed and needed a few days off to myself but I'm back and feeling better. I did host a bbq Saturday night for friends and of course all the conversations were about babies. Most of my gf's are expecting so there is no avoiding the topic. I'm going away for 2 nights on 9/19 with DH and I'll be ovulating right around that time so hoping this will be our month
I've also decided to try one more cycle naturally and if it doesn't do the trick then I'm moving on to Clomid next cycle.

@KrzyRiver: woohoo! Congrats lady!!
@lovehope same. Sucks when period starts. I always try to look for the silver lining in the next cycle. Like this next one we would be able to announce at thanksgiving! And the following would be a Christmas announcement. How fun could that be? Kinda corny (ESP bc I said the same thing last sept/oct) but it makes the moving to next cycle easier somewhat.
I forgot my clomid while gone for Labor Day! Duh, so mad at my self. I didn't get home until CD 5 so I felt like it was too late to start. I'll still track and attempt but I know I have a weak ovulation on my own.

@LibbyLou: I'm exactly the same way. I'm really hoping next month is a good month for us. Is this your first cycle on Clomid?
kiwi / 739 posts
@LoveHope: I got pregnant on my first cycle of clomid (ectopic). Last month was my first using it since then. I was hoping to have lightning strike twice and get Preg on another first try!
I'm still optimistic bc I know I can get pregnant at least. It took a year to figure that out and a boost from Meds but it does make me more hopeful that my turn is coming soon.
kiwi / 689 posts
@LibbyLou: That is great to know. I think I may need an extra boost too. I've decided to go on it next cycle if I'm unsuccessful this cycle. Did you have any crazy side effects on it?
kiwi / 739 posts
@LoveHope: no, none! I say go for it if you need it! The time I got my positive we only hit one day too. I was on 50mcg, I took it religiously at the same time - although I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. It took my girlfriend 3 rounds of it to get her daughter.

@LoveHope: Sorry about AF. I just wanted to say that I had really minimal side effects from Clomid (mostly just ovulation pain), and I took 50mg and then 100mg (two different cycles) on days 5-9.

Day 6 of AF. She was heavy and bitchy yesterday. Annoying!!
I have another acupuncture appointment tomorrow evening. I'm still skeptical. My fertility appointment is next week Wednesday - I'm looking forward to it!

@LoveHope: I take 3-7. I know at one time I knew the thought process between days 3-7, 4-8, 5-9 but I forget them all now! I know on average you ovulate seven to ten days after your last dose.

@Crystal: Just remembered something I did differently this month and can't believe I forgot! I ate pineapple core! Disgusting! I read it helps with implantation and you should eat it for 5 days. I ate it every morning from 3-7dpo. I definitely implanted day 6 so maybe that's what did it!

@LoveHope: good luck this month. It's great you and Adam get to go away for a couple nights!

@LoveHope: My beta is 9/18.
I'm hanging out 5DPO. I'm trying to let go, trust God, and not get my hopes up. My new niece or nephew is due tomorrow and I'm dreading having to fake excitement for that when I'm so sad/jealous.

@AmeliaBedilia: I'll update you. I totally understand. I've done the same a few times and it's difficult. Hang in there.

@LibbyLou: @LoveHope: @doxielove: Thanks ladies!!
@AmeliaBedilia: Sorry hun. I know that feeling all too well. My husband's friend pops kids out like it's nothing and I get so tired of pretending to be happy for them. They're the last people I want to tell now just in case something happens....
@delight: I've heard of eating pineapple core but I kept forgetting to try that! Kind of glad I didn't tho because I don't think I would have liked it at all. Lol
Waiting for the doctor to call me with the results of my beta. Hoping for good numbers. I had low betas my last two pregnancies (one MC and one CP) so I'm anxious. If the numbers look good, I think I can relax.

I'm also having a buttload of symptoms this pregnancy so far. I'm exhausted, my breasts are insanely sore, I'm getting horribly nauseous in the car, and I have horrible hemorrhoids!! Lol. I've never had this many symptoms before. Hoping that's a good sign right there.... *Fingers crossed*

Just re-found this YouTube series today! It made me laugh through lunch. Her new season started today! I can relate with a lot and thought some of you may get a laugh!

@KrzyRiver: This weekend at my bbq, I got well you guys are going on 4 years married... Why no babies?!! My husband and I haven't really told too many people of our struggle but people should really not ask that question because you just never know who is trying. I have never asked anyone that question even close friends. Some people are brainless. wtf is wrong with people!
apricot / 276 posts
@LoveHope: I don't understand why people think it's ok to ask that! I've only been married a year in June and people know my husband and I have had MCs...and they still pester us! "When are you going to have babies? Hmmmmm?" It's awful. Someone even asked me last night and I can't say anything yet, so it still depressed/annoyed me. The only person I've ever asked is my husband's best friend and that was because she basically brought it up. And I knew she wouldn't mind my asking.

I have to get up early to check my progesterone, then wait most of the day for results. It should be ok, but getting test results makes me nervous.

@KrzyRiver: Congrats, lady! Beautiful BFP! Love how it was the last thing you expected to happen. Enjoy this!
@delight: FX-ed for a super next beta!
Thinking about you all and hoping September brings on lots more BFPs!

@KrzyRiver: best wishes for awesome betas! I'm waiting for my second draw results and my stomach is in knots. And yes, pineapple core is woody and gross.
@libbylou: that video was hilarious!
@AmeliaBedilia: good luck with your appointment tomorrow. My brother and sister in law were due the exact same day as us in April (we lost our baby in Dec). I didn't talk to them for the rest of their pregnancy as I just couldn't handle it. After my niece was born it took me 3 more months to go visit. It's tough. I couldn't even fake excitement.
apricot / 276 posts
@Amorini: It was definitely the last thing I expected! Lol. Like I said, I didn't even post on here because I was *so* sure I hadn't ovulated. Maybe that helped? Cause I wasn't stressing during the TWW. Lol.
@delight: Mine is too. I can't stand the waiting. I've never had good beta numbers. So if they look good, I can relax a little. I'm trying to stay positive, but that will definitely help!
@AmeliaBedilia: Good luck tomorrow. Waiting for test results is the absolute worst. *Hugs*

@KrzyRiver: Congrats on your BFP! Keep us updated on your beta number!
@delight: When do you get your results? When you ate the pineapple core, did you eat it straight up or make a smoothie? This month is our last ditch effort before we start IVF in October. I'm ready to pull out all the stops! lol
We received our IVF financial packet in the mail yesterday and it looks like we will need to make payment next week. I realize that it's SO worth it to try, but man, the things that we won't be able to do now really weigh on me. I just don't understand why we (and I mean all of us here) cannot get pregnant the normal and easy way that most of the population seems to.
pomelo / 5326 posts
@NorthStar: I just ate it straight up. I read that you should just cut a pineapple into 5 equal pieces and then eat a piece every day including the core. It was a lot of pineapple to consume so I mainly just ate the core!
I got my results and they have not left me very positive.

I was hoping for it to be well over 400. I know it says online that doubling in 48-72 hours is ok and I'm at about 63 hours but I still don't like it. I'm calling the hospital today to book an appointment for a scan as soon as I can.
