I'm getting a Mirena tomorrow! I'm super excited. I hate taking pills and we don't have sex as often as we would if I weren't so worried about getting pregnant. But now DH is all worried. He thinks it will just fall out or that sex will mess with it.
Can you share your experiences having sex with a Mirena? Any issues? Did your DH ever feel it?

At first DH could feel the strings (they're like fishing line) so after a few weeks I went back in for a check and had the doc trim them a little. Other than that sex with mirena was great. I never had to worry about missing a pill or abstaining because of my period. I was period free for four years. Loved it! Once we're done having babies I'll get another one.

My husband never felt my Mirena, and I never felt it either during sex. My doc cut the strings real short so they just curled around my cervix (very common). Don't worry about it falling out after sex; it's extremely, extremely uncommon for it to come out, and sex doesn't mess with it or move it around.

Haven't had any problems. But this reminds me to do my monthly "check" to make sure it's still in place!
