Craving something sweet and wouldn't mind baking, but I'm not feeling any of my usual recipes. Any suggestions?

I make these for D's work about once a month, and they're fought over. His co-workers call them crack cookies. I pretty much stick to the recipe, but usually add about double the amount of Nutella.

@lovehoneybee: oh geez, I'm drooling just reading it. Too bad I don't have any nutella!! I'm gonna have to pick some up next time I'm at the grocery store and try this recipe. Thanks!

@pinkcupcake: Aw, too bad! I find they spread a lot unless the dough is chilled. I'll usually chill it, roll a tray-full and put that in the fridge for a couple of minutes and then right into the oven.

@lovehoneybee: I wish I could have Nutella because those look SO good.
I made these last weekend and we really enjoyed them: http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2010/02/24/peanut-butter-oatmeal-chocolate-chip-cookies/
They have just enough oatmeal to give it a fun spin but not so much that it feels like your typical oatmeal cookie.

@coopsmama: I was going to post that too, our fav cookie recipe! I just made it today actually (except added some flaxseed meal and brewer's yeast to make them lactation cookies!)

@Mae: how did it turn out with the flaxseed and brewer's yeast? I've been looking up lactation cookie recipes and most look really...meh... and I'll be in the market to eat a bunch of those soon so I'd love to know how much you added to the recipe if you know!

@coopsmama: I can't even taste them really. Maybe a sliiiight aftertaste, but not so bad that you'd even notice if you weren't looking for them to taste different. I doubled that recipe and then added 3 tbspn flaxseed meal and 6 tbspn brewer's yeast and an extra shake of oatmeal. The only change I'd make is that the dough was a little bit crumbly (prob bc of extra dry stuff!). I think I should've probably added a tbsn or two of water to even out the extra dry.

@Mae: awesome! Thank you! I will give it a try with those modifications!
