Our basement will serve as a playroom for our LO... right now it's super boring with white walls and berber carpet... I want to spruce it up. Looking for inspiration!

Ours is a work in progress because LO is still young so I find myself constantly adding and shifting things around.
The first pics are of the playroom last week.
The last photo is a picture of the toys we let our friends' kids "test out" this weekend. I don't like the mess they made;) but I'm glad to know they are fun toys. Those 2 kids played for 3h down there!

I love these!
@TurtleDoves: LOL... looks like they had fun getting into everything!!! I'd say it was a successful test run. I love the little table and chairs... I was thinking about getting something like that. Your LO is going to have a blast in there... lots of room too!
@oahujeni: cute! I was thinking about that Ikea rug! Are the benches Ikea too? Did you make the seat cushion or buy it? Love it.

@78h2o: Yep, the benches are Ikea, just bookshelves turned on their sides. I cheaped out on the seat cushion and bought a full-size egg crate from target and cut it in half so I could double it up and it would be comfortable (it fits the bench perfectly.) I cut a piece of thin MDF board and put it at the bottom of the egg crate and then stapled on fabric. Cost about $15 compared to the $100 ones I found online. It's not really for adults to sit on so it's really just for show and if DS wants to sit up there when he gets bigger.

Great playrooms! Here is ours...
We do have one wall that is magnet and chalkboard but the photo I have has LO's full name on it, so since this isn't a gold thread I would rather not post, but it is on one of the other gold threads somewhere

@TurtleDoves: I know! We actually
Decided to do a map wall in J's room... But we'll have to Buy a Smaller map because the actual murals like the one in the picture above are adhered like wall paper...

@littlek: seeing your pics reminds me that I want a tunnel! I forgot about that. Does B play in it yet? DH thinks in silly for making a playroom for a 6.5m old. I keep telling him that they grow so fast though. One thing that they aren't interested in today, they will be interested in tomorrow...

@Bao: a magnet and chalkboard wall is a great idea. Filing that away for future use.

@littlek: Did the bins come in those colors or did you have to paint them? Is it sturdy? I looked at Target online and it seemed like there were two... the more expensive one got better reviews (of course).
