I am 31 weeks and officially beginning to nest. I started writing my own to do list but I swear I'm missing so much. New moms, or those in your third trimester, please share what you have/had on your to-do list before baby. Thanks!!

We were pretty far behind most people by the time we got to the third trimester. So we had to pick up the crib (already purchased and waiting at the store) and assemble it, buy lots of gear after we saw what we got from the shower, get the baby's room ready... Wash all the clothes, hand me downs and new (so far I've only washed up to about 6 month size). We took a childbirth class early in the 3rd tri and I've read some about labor. I should read up more on breastfeeding.
Plus we are making an effort to do things like go out to dinners at restaurants we've wanted to try and things like that, that will be tougher to do once baby gets here.
So yeah, mostly all we've been doing is buying and cleaning! We have one more Amazon order to place and then we have everything, I think! I also recently got together my post partum stuff (Tucks, giant pads, nipple creams... lovely. Baby stuff is so much cuter).

I had 6 weeks off before my due date, but I really didn't have a lot to do, other than:
pack my hospital bag
final touches on the nursery, which included a hand painted alphabet on the wall over the crib
sew a boppy filler pillow

We've been a little slow on getting baby's room ready, but with only 3 weeks to go, that needs to be done soon! I've been trying to keep the house extra clean and DH has been helping with that too. I do not want to come home from the hospital to a dirty house! I packed my hospital bags at 32 weeks because that's when my SIL went into labour, and I wanted to be prepared. I've washed all the baby clothes and bedding and are storing them in boxes until we get around to building the dresser.
I've also been trying to do lots of ME things. I've been getting up early and reading on my porch, making lots of plans with girlfriends to go out for dinner, and also enjoy nice evening walks with my DH.

I worked on the nursery, completing our registry, and getting baby clothes washed and put away. Now that we're only two or three weeks away from meeting baby, I'm focusing on the last minute things - baking snacks for the freezer, enjoying some me-time, and getting mentally prepared for baby. Still on my list are:
- applying for EI (Canadian gov't funding for maternity leave)
- stocking the freezer/cupboards with labour snacks
- going for high tea with my mama
- deep cleaning the house (I have this compulsion to vacuum the dust off the nursery ceiling - I may just do that today).

I've been doing house things mostly: setting up the nursery, setting up the rest of the house (we recently moved), getting rid of things we don't need. I deep cleaned the cars this weekend so we can install the car seat. I packed a hospital bag and lots of snacks.
I need to put some finishing touches on the nursery. I made a freezer meal plan to make 2-3 meals a week until my due date so I have been working on that, as well as keeping the kitchen stocked.
I've also been trying to get out to all the social engagements I've been invited to, and make weekly plans with friends. I know I'll be a lot more house bound when the baby comes, so I figure I should do that now.

@redsmarties: The deep cleaning thing is so weird-- right now it's REALLY bothering me that I can see the footprints on our wood floors-- not dirty, just like you can sometimes see fingerprints. But we ran out of the swiffer wet jet clothes-- oh the humanity! What if baby comes home to wooden floors with footprints!
And I forgot I also packed my hospital bags and made a list of last minute things to remember.

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and here is what I still need to do:
-Finish the decor in the nursery
-Purchase various sized onesies and wash all baby clothes
-Purchase and assemble dresser, move DH's clothes out of the nursery and into the dresser
-Return swing and purchase rock n' play (I had NO idea just how big the swing was until we assembled it!)
-Pack hospital bag
-Make a week's worth of freezer meals

Thank you @modern daisy: @skipper2010: @foodnerd81: @jesskas: @redsmarties: @delight: @looch for all of the help! I really appreciate it. I don't think I've hit the true nesting stage yet though because I'm not eager to deep clean our house yet.
